I blink. "Alright..." I feel slightly relieved. "But, if you don't mind..." I lean and whisper to him, " I don't want anyone to know. Can you keep that a secret? Please?"

"Your secret is safe with me. But you should be proud to be a fairy. That race is rare on Earth. I am lucky that I found you." Hayven sips some more water. "The sun is too bright. Would you like to sit in the shade?"

I tilt my head, slightly. "Sure thing. I prefer a little less light, myself..." I finally smile a little at him as I go near to where I was sitting before.

"I hate the sun. The sun is a blazing tyrant in the sky. I dream of killing the sun. So I can live forever in darkness. But you see. I already do." Hayven is strange. Plants are never much for sane conversation.

A deep conversationalist. Nice. "I understand. But the sun isn't always bad... It helps things grow... but too much does wilt a flower..." Yoko's eyes begin to soften. "By the way, my name is Yoko Makoto." She bows, slightly.

"The sun is life. There would be no life without its loving light. But I prefer night and darkness, shade and aloneness. The very thing I so despise is what I need to survive." Hayvn looks at the sun with disdain. "Hello Yoko, I am Hayven...a ruwai made of Iris."

"Havyen..." Yoko's smile brightens, "That's a very good name. It's nice to meet you Hayven." "And to be truthful.. darkness is a friend of mine... It is also easier to be unseen in it.." She turns around to scan the room a bit. "Do you want to sit, and talk? I assume you still have questions..."

Jareth was unable to speak. The smile that had haunted her was spread across his face and the coldness she felt just moments before faded.
Should she dare say what she truely desired or was it a trick of some sorts. She would like to learn his world and have his smile haunt her more.

Hayven and Yoko sit under an oak tree. He picks up an acorn and hands it to Yoko. "Plants speak little, for words do not express our complexity. WE speak through color and smell. We speak directly to emotion in ways words can not. Roses speak love. Iris speaks death. Lily speaks purity. The language of plants is complex and beautful. Do you know this language? Fairies do..." He touches her hand and says. "An acorn is a symbol for a new begining." He looks away and drinks some more water.

"I will give you the pleasure of seeing how it works. You may even try it." He walks over to her and places the swan in her hands. He cups his hands around hers. "It will allow you to speak mentally to Louhi, goddess of darkness. You can ask her anything you like."
Kaschei holds her hands, which contain the small black Swan, He stands behind her, whispering the words of the spell that will open her mind to the goddess.

Yoko gazes at the acorn in her hand. "I use to know..." then she folds her hand over it. "But it has been a while since I have communicated with anyone. To be truthful, I am only half fairy. My father was human, and he died long ago.. my mother sacraficed herself so she would not have to live without him, of course, she did it at an age where I could very well take care of myself..." She looks back up at Hayven. "I mostly just observe everyone instead of just speaking to them nowadays."

"Such tragedy marks your long life. We live long years the silent observers of countless hardships. The world passes not by days, but in lives."Hayven offers her a sip of water. The water is nearly gone. Gone with so many other things.

Jareth was taken aback. One minute she was holding her breath at the coldness of Kaschei's tone, the next he was offering a reward, then to have this. What would she ask?
Sure to have such a powerful device in her hands was magnificent. However to actually have the sorcerer touching her hands. Cradling them, so as they could cradle the swan. As he whispered the words to the spell she could feel his breath on her neck. It warrented such a sensation she felt she would swoon.
Whats wrong with you Jareth? This is your boss, and you must not allow yourself to...

Darkness fills the room. Kaschei raises the tone of the voice and holds tighter to Jareth, who seems afraid of the coming goddess. He whispers "You need not fear. I am in control. I always am." He closes his eyes and focuses his powers. He can feel a strangling darkness in his soul. His black cape ripples with the invisible waves of energy emmited from the black swan.
Then a voice enters the room. It is the voice of a woman, strong and firm, cruel and unjust.
"Who calls upon the goddess of darkness?"
Kaschei smiles.
"I will bring you to this world lady of night and pain. I am the sorcerer Kaschei. I am your servant. I need only three more artifacts and you will return to bring suffering to the world."
Kaschei now whispers to Jareth. "Speak to her with your mind. Her power is weak. But you are allowed one question."

She considered the water a moment. "Thank you." She takes it. She had not known she was a bit thirsty before. "You know, I, too, search for other fairy. My mother was the only one I ever knew. Most of them are no longer here on earth. Or plane, or whatever you wish to call this. I only hide the fairy in me in fear what others would do if they knew. Not everyone likes fairies... or do.. but not truely peacefully..."
