Pieces of The Shattered Past

Those eyes! Still so cold, still so intriguing...

He opens his eyes and puts his feet down on the floor. He stands and walks to peek at her through some boxes. He went to take her over but instead of the melding he felt a push as if 2 of the same polar battery were faced to each other. She was blocking him, d'amn. He was prepared to defend himself if necessary. Even if she was blocking his control.

"What do those b'astards want with me? I have been gone a long time and they are now just lookin for me. Make it quick sweetheart i ain't in the mood for guessin games."

He watches her as she comes closer to him.

Zephyr does not tear his gaze away. He cannot tear his gaze away, not from those eyes.

'Ask me your questions... and I will give you the answers.' He said frankly. 'However, do not expect me to tell you the whole truth as I will not allow the taint of your past life into your new one.'

[Kaieka]

"Just tell me who I am...

What do I like to do? What kind of a person am I? How did we meet? Where do I live? There are too many questions...

I just want to know who I am."

Zephyr sighed lightly.

'Your name is Kaieka, you are a vampire.' He said, rather bluntly. 'I do not know where you come from, and where and how we met I will not tell you.'

His shoulder-length hair billowed in the wind, in front of his eyes. He averted his gaze from her. How long could he protect her from her past.

'...where we met...' He began slowly. 'We met... in our dreams.'

[Kaieka]

"In our dreams? That sounds like a fairy tale...

I knew my name, and that I was a vampire. I found that out earlier, in the building. And yet you are not afraid of me. Knowing my race, I could attack you and use you for sustinance... but you don't seem scared at all. I must not be a very frightening vampire.



I walk over and sit on a bench. Even those who know me can not tell me of my past. I let out a sigh.

'There is reasoning behind me being unafraid of you...' He sat down next to her.

'I love you... and even as you were before, you would never harm me.'

He ran his hand softly through her hair. No, he was not afraid of her. Hw could he be? She was the image of beauty and grace, and he was madly and obsessively in love with her.

'...I had hunted you for a long time, but you were very evasive. I had went underground after attempting assassinate a key member of the current world government, doing odd mercenary jobs. I would always dream... even if I am just a man-made thing, I am still alive. Even if you are a vampire and you are cursed, you are still you... and I love you for that... even if this is all confusing...'

[Kaieka]

"It is all very confusing. I wish I could say that I love you back... but I don't know anything about love now...

I know that you are attractive, and appealing. I know that I am glad that you are here, by me...

But I cannot say that I love you... I don't really know you."

I stare at the ground, thoughts of assassinations and "man made" run through my mind, bringing not answers, but only more confusion. I wish I could remember this man, that I could meet his love and obsession with love of my own...

That I could own that feeling, That I could experience something so real.

His hand in my hair feels so nice. I lean into it, wishing that things were more simple.

Zephyr closed his eyes as she pressed up agains him as he still caressed her head.

'All things do not have answers... even in your previous history.'

He wrapped his free arm around her tightly.

'...even somethings in my own history that deal with you... are mysteries... the night we spent with eachother, it puzzled me greatly... still, I've always felt... solace around you...'

[Kaieka]

His arm feels so good around me; it feels safe. To feel encompassed and protected, from just the presence of an arm holding me tightly... it is a wonderful feeling.

"I do not remember that night... I wish I could."

'Stay with me... and you may not have to try to remember that night, Kaieka...' Said Zephyr, moving ever closer to her. The roar of the train could be heard coming ever closer. It was time to go.

[Kaieka]

Something in the words that he says causes something to turn over in my stomach. It is a fluttery feeling as I sense the intent behind his eyes and words.

The train rambles nearer.

I suddenly have the urge to throw my arms around him and kiss him, my lips grow dry and part as I exhale slowly the air that I had just inhaled in sharply... but he stands as the train pulls up, its wheels screeching to a halt.

He walks to meet the train.

I chastise myself internally for feeling this way about someone that I know so little about. I have no bags to grab, I clear my throat and walk up behind him. Darith should be coming shortly.

I don't have a ticket, but I assume that Zephyr has an idea of how we will ride this train, perhaps he already purchased our passes.

[Misery]

"You should come back to Red Infinity rather work with anarchist dogs. You will come with me, Chaos...or...I am prepared to fight you."

I feel uncomfortable talking to him. This is insane. I should not fear him.

"Well then are you here to join us? Would you at least tell me why your here?" I rubbed my temples.
