Keitoleinen feels a sharp pain in his neck. He turns around and sees Helene. He grabs her by the thin arm and flings her into a building.

He then summons a plague of vipers, thousands of them. The vipers bite her sofe skin and slither over her body in a huge black knot.

"All this because I would not have sex with you? You really are pathetic!!"

He summons a swarm of killer bees to sting at her skin as the snakes writhe all over her body.

[Kos-Mos]

"Actually I can tell they're coming from my scanners."

[Roland the Black Hearted]

Roland touches the wrappings on his face gently in thought. "She could hide there. No one has enough influence in Chi-kage to mount an attack so she would be safe.

Very well, I will take her at once if you wish."

[Fascia]

I organize some papers at Kith's office, and do a list of things that he has set out for me to accomplish. When the work day is over, I walk home to the apartment. Daevid has been doing a good job of taking care of my child.

I pick him up in my arms when I go inside (my child, not Daevid). He is sweet and looks up at me with large brown eyes. I sit down with him in the rocking chair in his room and breast feed him. I never thought that I would be so motherly, but just the sight of my child brings me joy. He will be a great elf someday, bringing fame to the Elves again, making them high amongst the races on earth.

He coos and falls asleep while I am feeding him. I gently lay him in his crib and watch him as he sleeps. It makes me think of Kakashi, and how long it has been since I have seen him.

I suddenly feel ashamed for what I did with Keitoleinen last night. I feel an attachment and devotion to the father of my child, whether I have seen him recently or not. I wonder where he is?

I shake my head. No. I should not be ashamed. Keitoleinen is a god. My god. I should do all that I can to worship him, and I need to be satisfied too. I may be a mother, but I am also a woman.

I shut off the light and walk out into the kitchen. I dig through the refrigerator and take things out to make a salad.

Millions of snakes are biting me. Millions of bees stinging me. But I feel none of it. He blood is my power. I open my eyes. They are green now.
A soft green glow surrounds me as all the snakes and bees are slowly desentergrated. I lick my lips and stand up. Everything seems to be still around me and Keintoleinen.

Lets fight. You will not destroy this city.

I go to my computer and look up files on Elizabeth Chrono.

"According to the file, she was not a mechanic, but a rebel scientist. She helped to create a high tech android. State of the art, better than any of Dayspring's Droids. She was one of many scientists who helped with this project. That is why the Ministry of Terror killed her. Lawrence, what your mother did was illegal by the standards of any government. I am sorry this happened to you, but we acted as we normally do in these situations."

"Chi-kage is the city of angels, built by my brothers. It is home to the immortals that Infinity forbids to exist live there. It is my home, if anyplace can be called such.

Them we find them. KOS-MOS, activate long range scans and bring the targets onto a range path so we can track them down."

He pulls the glove off his right hand. Whispy tenticales of blackness slowly stretch from his flesh like spines on an urcine, slowly waving.

"I was hungry anyway."

She spent days researching the Red Infinity data banks on this Virgil. His information was incomplete at best. From what she had been able to get, she had gathered that he, like most LIF members was a one man army, virtually indestructable.

Her orders had been to find him and kill him, but it looked like this might be a bit above her skills. He seemed impervious to her charms, and had tossed her aside and knocked her out like she didn't matter. This not only somewhat alarmed her, but also ticked her off.

She looked through the files once again. There must be some way...

She decided to get out for awhile. She had been hunched over the computer for what seemed like days, and it didn't do much for her complexion to do so. She got up, stretched her long legs and walked down to a nearby restaraunt. She ordered strawberry pie, something to quell her sweet tooth.
