Quan Xu pushes to his feet in time to see Grove and Roane vanish. His lips curl back and he shouts a wordless cry then forms words, "Very disappointing!" With a last shout he falls silent and swings onto his horse. All the trees near him explode into black fire, the flames leaping around the clearing like their alive.
They fire does not spread, but it does not die either, leaving the clearing a blazing inferno of ash and black fire. "Remember this spot." Quan heels Nightmare and they ride off to find another victim.

Grove and Roane emerge from the soil on a white sand beach. He sets her down, keeping his eyes closed and turns away.
"We are safe now..."

I fade away into the shadows, and re appear on the bottom floor outside of Violet's office, where I transform. I fly up to her window, and wait for her to jump on my back.

I open my window and jump onto his back. I hold onto his thick muscular neck. It is not often at all that I go for a dragon ride.
"Forgive me, but this may be the first time I have been on a dragon. Do not fly too swiftly, I may fall off."

Ookami smiles and a few memories skitter across his mind. Painting and such things. He doesn't remember much but knows they were connected.
"Chihira I feel like we were....I mean we were connected somehow. I know that sounds like a bad pickup line. But it is true."
He hides his face a bit and squeezes her hand. He wanted to move in and hold her but was afraid. He had not loved in a very long time.

Sasha and I take a little boat to Greenland. We spot the Oil Tanker right away, it is huge.

She laughed "Indeed it does sound like a bad pick up line, in fact, one a drunk man would try. But I know that you are not one to be trying a pick up line so..." She looked up and smiled. She looked back, straight into his partially hidden eyes "It seems I am nothing but smiles lately."

I carefully fly off towards the island, occasionally pointing to small landmarks down below.
"I haven't seen Mikomi in a long time, and I hope he's matured a bit."
The flight is a long one.

Tarsky sees Lady Violet leap from her window onto a dragons back.
"Wow. I want to do that... But I bet my F18s could put a pretty dent in a dragon anyway."
Tarsky smiles to himself as he walks toward his department.
He finally makes it to his office and sorts through several papers that had been piling up while he was gone. Nothing unmanagable he thinks.
"Okay. Time to get to this May Day business..."
He cracks his knuckles and begins typing quickly, writing up a formal request for the official plans for May Day.

*2 Prisoner of war escort vehicles (loaded)
Tarsky continues typing...

"Mikomi has a bad temper and is stoic most times. But he is dedicated and hard working which is why I love...loved him."
I explain to the dragon. When I get to the Island I have Set turn into his human form.
"I will have you wait in the forest while I talk to Mikomi and Kinyo-bi. sometimes Mikomi has a foul temper. If he attacks me, you should step in."
It is not that I can not fight Mikomi, I would just rather not.
I contact Mikomi and Kinyo-bi telepathically.
I am here on the island, I want you to meet me on the outskirts of the forest at once....

I point the boat to the huge oil tanker, we board it through the net on the side. The crew doesn't notice us yet.
"The contact will be waiting for us below decks, you should transform into a cat and head down there. The crew will surely spot me if I try to... He's tall, has long dark black scraggly hair, and an eyepatch. Tell him Sasha says hello, he'll know what to do from there."
