As I see the two new comers I give them a wary look and return to what I was doing, while explaining about the situation without looking up again.
"Since Freeman is.....unavailable for a day or so, I shall suggest that you let me see your resumés(your character description), and from there I will see what I can do."

I myself am not, by profession, an elf killer. I'm a mercenary, I do what I'm told if I'm paid enough, and I was paid enough to take this job. So until I find a better paying job, this is my current line of work.
