My latest attempt at a site. Registration is now open. The game has not yet begun because for the plot to work I have to have a very groups built and to do that I need members.
This board will hopefully focus on quality over speed. People can make a few, well done posts rather than alot of short ones. The pace will likely be slow as well, given the need for character interation.

Year 2005 AD
In the closest election in modern recorded history, George Walker Bush is re-elected president of the United States of America. And so in begins the long darkness. Within two months of his re-election but fulfilled his first campaign promise to enter a new era of relations with the Middle East. Only problem was, Bush didn’t make it an era of peace.
Hostile areas of Iraq were carpet bombed, saturated with napalm, and finally swept with ground troops. Terrorist activity outside of cities become non-existent within seven months. Interrogations of prisoners lead to countless cells and organizations, all of which were removed in swift, brutal fashion. Military cover and political smoke screen blocked public knowledge for one and a half years until a group of journalists broke the story.
Year 2008 AD
The impeachment of President Bush and his staff is completed. Removed from their offices, the president, the vice president, and countless chiefs of staff are handed over to the international community for trial.
World conditions go south and economic systems begin to destabilize.
Year 2015 AD
The final appeal of the Bush legal team fails and the execution date for the ex-president and his former staff is set.
This comes as little comfort to the people of both America and the middle east. Both section of the world have tumbled from their former places. America has entered a new depression and the world slowly begins to follow.
Fanatics begin to shout about the end of time.
Dark things appear in the headlines of newspapers. Stories like old European horror stories, formerly ignored, begin to become almost common place.
Year 2029 AD
-Historical Dead Zone-
Records from this era are, for all intents and purposes, gone.
It is theorized that a major regression took place, returning man kind to a much earlier social era.
It is also thought that it was during this time that the Night Things made their huge leap in numbers, gathering numbers from the confused human population as well as the wealth of abandoned or forgotten resources.
Year 2035 AD
The world emerges from the abyss as suddenly as it entered. Again, creditable records, even this close to present day, are hard to find but it is the opinion of most historians that a group of men sparked a new, iron based, economy within the US that in turn spread, recreating economic systems as it spread.
Religious fanatics claim this was, in reality, a rebirth of Christ and a second chance at life for the world. These ideas are generally laughed at by the scientific community, but it is a fact that 42% of the world is now Christian.
Year 2036 AD, AKA 1 BW*
GenCorp is founded by Bert Vaughn. Bert forms a staff of supernatural experts including Anita Blake, Manny Rodriguez, John Burke, Lawrence Kirkland, and many others. It’s single goal was to control the spread of Night Things.
Though a joke to the general public, who of course denied such things existed, GenCorp was an instant success. Business owners, corporations, and other high class individuals who developed problems with Night Things paid a great deal to GenCorp to deal with these problems for them.
Year- 14 BW* (2050 AD) (Current Year)
The world, by and large, as returned to it’s former self.
The GenCorp Corporation is broken up by anti-trust, sending the organization spinning. After a month of reorganization, GenCorp shatters and dissolves. Within two months, dozens of businesses, founded by former GenCorp employees, have sprung up all over the world.
Though the general public still does not make any mention of Night Things in their daily lives, most choosing to deny the existence of such things, people who live in high encounter areas or who do business in them, know the truth of the matter.
Medical officials deny new rumors of strange beings, humans who are part Night Thing, claiming them as nothing more than hysteria and going on record that they do not exist because Night Things do not exist.
Government officials within the UN quietly pass the GenCorp Acts, regulating the international operations of the newly created “Krieger Militärs” and their employees, or “Soldatens”. Individual nations are slower to act, many of them still not truly accepting the reality of the times.
