There where one villagers in a foreign time running and screaming "Inu-Yasha!" A demon with pure white hair and gold eyes appeared. He laughed evilly and broke through their attempts to stop him. He then smashed into a temple and stole a strange sparkling purple jewel from a stand before the villagers could cath up to him and shoot arrows trying to kill him. He dodged these easily and toke off for the forest, claiming how he can finally become a full demon with the jewel he had, but before he can make it out of reach of the small village, a pretty young woman wearing Shinto priestess clothing shot and arrow into his heart slamming him back against a tree. The woman, who was seriously wounded, picked up the dropped jewel and the demon boy, who she called "Inu-Yasha" seemingly dies, still pinned to the tree.
The woman, who's name is known as "Kikyou", instructed her younger sister and the villagers to burn the jewel with her remains so that it would never fall into the wrong hands again. She then died from the wounds. Her body was soon surrounded in flames as she was cremated. She thought to herself that she would take the "Shikon no Tama" with her into the otherworld and disappeared.
Modern day Tokyo, year 1997. A young girl named Kagome was sitting in a shrine with her grandfather who is explaining the history behind the jewel called the Shikon no Tama that the family's ancestors protected in the past. Kagome stoped him sort and asked him if he remembers what day tomorrow is. He tells her that he does and gives her a birthday present. It's a mummified kappa hand (demon). Kagome's not that impressed and gives it to her cat, Buyo, to eat.
The next day, Kagome was off to school and found her younger brother, Souta, staring into a small shrine that held the concealed well. Souta told her that their cat went in there and hadn't come back out, so Kagome went in to find the lost kitty when suddenly the sealed well started to shake and a centipede monster emerged and draged Kagome into the well claiming that she smelled the Shikon no Tama.
Kagome was dragged through the magical well and managed to fend the monster away by shooting some sort of power out of her hands. She landed at the bottom of the well freaked out and looked back up calling for her brother (she thinks she was dreaming) to help her get back out of the well. No one answered, so she climbed out herself and found herself in a deep forest. She ran towards the huge tree that was kept near her family shrine (she calls it the Goshin Boku or God Tree) and found out that she was not in Tokyo anymore. Pinned to the tree was Inu-Yasha, who was still asleep. Vines had grown all over him, meaning he has been asleep for a long time, but other than that, he had not changed at all.
Interested in this strange boy, Kagome want over and played around with his dog-ears for a moment before she was shot at by villagers who took her in thinking she's a spy or a kitsune (fox spirit). An old woman appeared (Kaede) and she claimed that Kagome resembles her long dead sister, Kikyou. This old woman was Kikyou's younger sister grown up since Kikyou died fifty years ago.
Kagome told her she's from Tokyo, but Kaede knew nothing of this "Tokyo". Suddenly, the village was attacked by the same centipede monster that attacked Kagome in the well. It claimed it wanted the Shikon no Tama and that Kagome had it. Kagome took off trying to get the monster away from the village and ran back towards the forest where she came from. The monster followed her and she fell in front of the now awakened Inu-Yasha. Her voice had caused him to wake up! Inu-Yasha asked "Kikyou" why she doesn't just finish him off really quick and then asked why Kagome is just sitting around doing nothing.
Kagome told him she's not this Kikyou girl and her name is Kagome. The centipede attacked again and Inu-Yasha asked Kagome to remove the arrow in his heart. Kaede warned Kagome not to, but after Kagome was slammed into the tree by the monster and after it bit into her hip and removed the Shikon no Tama from her body, she cedeed and pulled the arrow. The arrow disappeared in a flash of light and the seal was broken. Inu-Yasha started to laugh evilly and destroyed the centipede with one swipe of his claw using his technique, the Sankon Tessou (Soul Shattering Iron Claw). Kaede then removed the Shikon no Tama from the centipede's body (it had consumed it) and handed it back to Kagome.
Inu-Yasha steped up and demanded she give him the Shikon no Tama. Kaede tells Kagome not to. Instead she ran away and Inu-Yasha follows her. Kaede took out a bead necklace and threw it over Inuyasha's neck. She told Kagome it can restrain him if she says a word to restrain him. She trips and the Shikon no Tama falls onto the bridge.
Inu-Yasha goes after it when Kagome says "SIT"!!! Just one inch from the Shikon no Tama he fell down on the bridge and broke it. He fell into the river. He told Kaede he would kill her! Kagome walked onto the Bridge and retrieved teh Jewel. She ran into the forest and bandit thiefs caught her and took her to their master.
The master took out his sword and swong it and killed one of his men. Kagome threw the jewel outside. He swoug it again and Kagome and the others ducked. Inu-Yasha came and hit the guy and a bird came out of his back .It flew out and grabs the Shikon no Tama in its mouth.
Inu-Yasha and Kagome find some arrows and bows. The half demon told Kagome she was a master bowarrownist. She shots and missed the bird. The bird swallowed the jewel and became bigger. Kagome shots at it again and it missed it again. Inu-Yasha drops Kagome and says she is not the reincarnation of Kikyo!
"I can get the Shikon no Tama by myself". The crow grabs a boy and Inu-Yasha used Soul Shattering Iron Claw and sliced the crow. But it reattached because of the Shikon no Tama. Kagome swam into the Lake and gets the boy and relizes the foot of the bird is still not attached. Kagome ook the bow and shot the crow.
A great mass of light appeared. Inu-Yasha went over to Kagome. When the head of the crow flew by, Inu-Yasha ripped it in half. A shard fell out. Kagome picked it up and says it is a part of the Shikon no Tama realizing what she did wrong.
The jewel shards where now scartted every where. Anyone could have one. What will happen to everyone and evething thing? It is you rchosie of wha happens and now what goes on the the world of humans and demons.
