Simply decide who you wish to train with and introduce yourself meeting the requirements of the trainer.

According to some legends Mermaids are able to turn their fins to legs once their totally dry. If they get wet the fins return.
Other legends say they can just breath air.
Still others say that if you save someone's life you get a wish and you can wish for legs.
Or you could sell your voice to a witch for legs and a chance to net the wonderful prince... or Bassasov. Whichever your after.
