Steve glances up as Cynthia comes into the room and smiles when she realizes it's just him. "I got ya love, it's a new thing fer me too. O'course, I ain't the one with the bat."
Steve chuckles and stretches, yawning. "So, how was your day so far Cynthia? I mangaed to find some work. Not a dream job I suppose but right for my talents."

"Do I look THAT bad? Oh dear!" I pull out my makeup mirror and fix my hair. My eyes look tired and my skin is dry.

"Very well." I walk out, and immediately teleport back to Bucharest. I inform Morton of what is to be done, and tell him that the gas troops are to be in Amstradam by tommorow, and in Japan the next day.

I realize immediately that I've made a mistake and try to gradually shift the conversation.
"My lady, you really must get more sleep. It isn't good for you to work this hard. Come, I'll walk you home, perhaps we can find something to eat. You've been working too hard, you need to stop."

"It was good." She says, carrying the bat back into her room. She takes one of the many birth control pills that are lying in the cap of a prescription bottle, and swallows it without any water.
"I'm so glad to hear you found a job, tell me about it!" She says, like a mother being excited for her son. Even though she hates the notion of being a mother, children especially. She just feels like she's taken Steven under her wing, even though he has helped her out tremendously as well, splitting the bills and whatnot.

"Yes, you may walk me home. I would like that." I put my files away and slip on a light coat.
"I am glad that people like you care so much about me. I think I would work myself to death if not for some of my operatives..."

"That's why we're here, m'lady, we keep you from dropping dead on us." I say lightly as I guide her to the exit.
"If you are tired, we can stop somewhere to eat, or I can cook something for you if you would like."

Steve shurgs, "Not much to tell. I'm going to be the day boucner at the 24 hour bar a few blocks down the street. I just need to keep people from getting too out of hand. It's perfectly suited to me, even if beating up normal people isn't really fair, you know, me being a boxing champion and all." Steve flexes his right arm and laughs, "Oh ya, pure English."

"I don't feel much like dealing with people, we can eat inside, but I don't want you to trouble yourself. I will be fine. I could make something." I suggest. We walk back to my house and I enter. My home seems empty at the moment. It is a nice break. Sometimes it is too crowded.

"Nonsense, no trouble at all. In fact, I rather enjoy cooking with a modern kitchen, my old army recipies are so much easier to prepare. How about something genuine from our country's past?"

"That would be wonderful, Liang." I grab something to drink and take a seat at the kitchen.
"It is nice to be home and just unwind for once. Thanks so much for coming over."

I order the ship turned around and slowed to half speed, and for half of the boilers to be shut down. With as little fuel as we have onboard I don't want to push our operational limits. I decide that it's time to make our presence known: I activate the transmitter on wideband mode and aim the antenna at Capital City...
(anyone in Capital City with a radio can hear this)
Attention citizens of Capital City, this is Lady Blue of the new FRA. Join the fight against Communisim, Opression and Despair. Anyone who is interested please meet me at Long Island Marina in one hour.

"It is my pleasure, my lady." I say, as I bustle around the kitchen and begin preparing some tea and noodles.
"It is good to see you able to relax. You work too hard."

"Good to hear, I'm sure you'll do well." She leans against the wall and looks around the apartment, once again dissatisfied with the mess she has created. She scratches her head.
"Well, at least I won't need the bat anymore... When you're around that is."

"d**n straight. Wooden bats usually break when they hit me anyway." Well, when they hit his arms. His arm bones were about as hard as steel from all his training against hard objects. The rest of him wasn't quite that tough...
"As long as I'm here, ain't no one gonna be able to do nothin'. Still, you might want to keep that bat, I'm going to be gone for the early mornings." Steve check his watch. "Say, I was thinkin' about checkin' out a club or somethin' in about an hour. Care to come along, love?"
