"Wonderful" Bassarov replies.
"Well, I am not going to worry about Kolov or Red Infinity. They are already more powerful than can be imagined. I have to refocus myself not on fighting every threat to global security, but refocus on mass action. I don't know what Red Infinity plans to do with that machine. But, it really doesn't matter. Anything I do as an individual is just a pebble against a rapid." Bassarov says in a very defeatist tone.
"I can no longer be some lone revolutionary holding things together myself. As long as Red Infinity is accepted by the people, my work is for nothing."

"Oh"
I get a gloomy look on my face.
"So we pretty much just try to survive?"

Without warning I slap Bassarov in the face, hard enough to get his attention, but not hard enough to do damage. "Don't give up on your dreams Valodya Bassarov." I say sternly. "If it wasn't for you no one would be free, I would have killed myself, and there'd be no future. So get a f**king grip god d**n it!"

"No, we try to thrive. The original Soviet Union wasn't defeated by military action, it was brought down economically. We can help the world the most by creating a place where people want to live. It's the American dream!"

"No, I haven't given up, far from it, but there is something huge here that I have neglected. I have been too busy fighting androids and every little threat Red Infinity sends that I forget the most important part of my work. I need to re establish my party and we need to launch an enormous campaign towards mass action." Bassarov states
"So that is what I am going to do. I am going to revive the 4th international movement in socialism. God, or would it be the 5th now? It doesn't matter."
He stands up and walks towards the door.
"Your job is to monitor the actions of Red Infinity, and mobilize the rebels to fight these threats in small ways. I must solely devote myself to the political war, which is the most important, and the one that we have the most work in."

Now that's the Valodya I know! "Good." I say as my voice softens. The scowl disappears from my face, and once again I am the Zero that has come to love him. "I'm not a leader but I will do what I can, and you're right. You can't wage this kind of war without the backing of the people. I... I'm sorry I hit you, love..." I say as I get up to follow him out.

I get stars in my eyes and patriotic songs float through my head.
"We have a lot of work to do. America is a waste land, people won't want to live there. And technically we are under rule Red Infinity even if they do ignore us most of the time. It will be hard to set up any decent economy when we have no resources, no factories, and basicly a nutsty infrastructure. It can happen. But it is like building a dream in a third world nation."
But then, what does a person have to lose by dreaming.
"We need to privatize things, but that will be hard. Red Infinity controls everything and anytime we try to privatize they come in and take over."

"America started as a colony in a swamp. We can do this. We have coal, we have iron. Those are still the building blocks of industrial society." I state proudly.
OOC I HAVE TO GO RIGHT NOW!!! Cya tommorow.

"I love you too. I do, even though I am moody and a jerk most of the time." Bassarov writes a list of people he must contact.
"I am sure you can lead the rebels. I am here with you, and the main function of the rebels has been to protect people and to fight Red Infinity when they come to twart us. Since you excel at combat, that sort of leadership role should be natural to you."
"As for me, I am off to contact, Garret, Mischa, Tahti, Andrew. Elijah, Miguel, Iikari, and anyone else who is a revolutiuonary socialist..."
Bassarov gives her a quick kiss then leaves the base to find his comrades.

"Yes, we can start over. We have to start small. Maybe some secret factories in capital city. If we can employ people at higher pay than the Red Infinity jobs people may move to Capital City in pursuit of personal wealth that they can not amass under Red Infinity."
I feel the best I have in ages.
"I'll get right on it Lady Blue!" I walk away and teleport back to Capital City.

When Keitoleinen is done with his work, he goes down to Linnea's cell and treats her wounds. The bullets used on her were magic, so the wound will have to heal on its own.
Keitoleinen looks at Linnea as he sits on a bench across from her.
"You consoled me when my son died. I will not keep you here very long. Once your wounds have healed a little, I will release you. It seems a fair exchanged."
The God is not compassionate, but he believes that when someone does a favor it should be returned. He does have some honor, even if it is strange and normally hard to notice.

Despair returns to the International HQ of Red Infinity. He is a machine with a mission. He knows that Erika does not remember him, but he must find her. He will not have peace unless he does.
He feels guilt for all he did for Zwei. He never meant to hurt people. He is a humble machine, a servant to humans.
He will never understand how he got wrapped up in Zwei's vision.
He finds her room and enters.
"You may not remember me, but I am Despair. I worked for and with Zwei."

The machine has been defeated. Ezra feels a dark numbness in its wake. Now it is over, what is left. The world is turned upside down. Hagana is under new leadership. Tel Aviv was destroyed.
These losses could never sink in because he was too busy fighting, but now it is all over, the struggle is done, he is left with all the loss he did not feel during the ordeal.
He sits on the grass and looks at the machine ruins.
"What now?"

Post by Nigel Eckhart on Nov 4, 2004 22:49:53 GMT -5
Nigel awoke, groggily as one who slept without restraint. So much happened while at the northrend, and yet, all that happened was a blur. He looked around, seeing a place that similar to the castle, and yet, unfamiliar.
"Where are..." Nigel looked and saw Kayta, laying on the bed.
As he continued to look, he was on a chair, nearby the bed. Was he watching her until she recovered?
Nigel stood up slightly, grasping her cold hand in his warmth. He doesn't know how to care for undead, only hoping she would return to consciousness.
"Kayta?" Nigel said softly. He brushed some hair away from her face, feeling the chill from her cold still.
"Kayta, my dear, please awake..." He continued in a gentle voice, beckoning to wake her. Nigel doesn't know this place, and so, doesn't want to leave without her.

Elijah walks back to the rebel base. He misses meeting Bassarov, but hears from another rebel that Bassarov is planning on creating a revolutionary socialist party. He is pleased to learn this and was hoping that Bassarov would do this for some time. He leaves the base and decides to find Andrew and inform him of this news.
