"Very good, Comrade Stalin. Violet, see to it that Comrade Stalin is given an office and that he has high-level security access to our files. I want there to be changes, and he has come at an opportune time, it would seem. Also, look into finding him a bodyguard. I Artemis or Ixyanarosir may be preferable, but I will leave that up to you. I have some business to attend to, good day to you."

Stalin salutted Lin-Sat, then turned to Violet once Lin-Sat had left.
"So, where are we going?" he asked.

"Yes, Sir."
I lead Stalin to an empty office near my own. I unlock it and step inside.
"This will be your office, Stalin. I will look into finding you a dragon body gaurd. I have one in mind. Her name is Nakia. She will see that you are protected from rebel threats."

"Good. I don't want to end up having a bomb under my desk like Adolf." he said, referring to the suit-case bomb that would have killed Hitler had he been one seat to the left.

"I understand. The anarchists send me anthrax once. I don't know how it made it through the mail room, but luckily nothing came of it."
I look at the window at Beijing.
"At least your office has a nice view and it is right next to mine, should you need me for anything."

"Right now, I think we celebrate. Bring out some rum." Stalin said, rubbing his palms together in anticipation.
"And while we drink, you discuss concerns of policies with me. Yah?"

I tell a staff member to bring Stalin some rum, I myself request a tea.
The staff person brings the beveridges. And I sit across from Stalin at his desk.
"I am mainly a cult figure for the party. I give speeches, kiss children, visit hospitals, and give small assignments to party members, but truly it is Lin-Sat who approves all of the policies. Personaly, I try to be kind to people. I try to show them love and compassion since it attracts more people to Red Infinity and keeps our cadre loyal to me. As the saying goes...you win more flies with honey than with vinegar."

"That work in short run, I think. Not so much long term." he said, drinking his rum.
"What make people follow you, is when they know you in charge. Show no weakness, the people will follow."

"People fear and hate Lin-Sat because he acts that way. But people trust and love me. I believe...I believe that love is more powerful than fear and that...that in the long run, there will be more rebelious activity if we all acted so inhumanely." I reply.
"Perhaps I am short sighted. But I am not the one in charge, only the face of the party, a tool of propaganda. If I am wrong, what harm is there if the people believe my lie?"

"None. But what must be done is something similar to what happened with the USSR. A picture of Lin-Sat in every home, payed for by the government. The portraits will be strictly regulated, of course. We don't need anyone defacing our leader, literaly." Stalin said.
"If people see him more often, and they see him smiling in these portraits... the general impression of him will change, if only slightly."

"I suppose we could spruce up Lin- Sat's image. He hates the public eye and is reclusive. This is the bane of his political career. That is why I am the public spokeswoman for the party and why the homes have my picture instead. That and...it was decided that I am more attractive and look better on large posters."

"No argument there." Stalin said with a grin as the alcohol started taking affect. "Still, you must admit that Lin-Sat has an image problem."

Oh dear, is Mr. Stalin hitting on me? I blush and try to laugh it off.
"Yes, he is the most anti social man I have ever met. He stays in his office and never wants to see anyone. I end up doing most of his work...but we can work with him and maybe he can make some more public appearances."

"No baby kissing appearences, of course. Just look through some of my old files. Find a little girl, teach her to like Lin-Sat at a young age. Then have Lin-Sat make some public appearences with her on his shoulder, or with him giving her some baloons. The media will eat it up." Stalin was good when it came to fudging the true image of a person... very good...

"Yes, I will see what I can do."
I finish my tea and step towards the door. It looks like I will be very busy today.
"I must leave you now and get back to my work. Have a pleasant day and feel free to wander about getting to know our operatives and Ministers here."
