"Interesting. I would like to read that if I get the time." Bassarov sits down with his tea to watch the Godzilla movie.

"I am actually at the Serbian base and waiting for them. I am not sure where they are." He says into his cell phone. "I am waiting in the lobby of their base, but I have not seen anyone here since I arrived two hours ago."

I sigh... "Okay. I need to go back to Helsinki at least for a few hours then, just to check in. You have my cell phone number so just call me if they show up. Thanks."

Even in the year 2000, the graphics were outdated and the special effects, or lack there of, were not that good. Still, the Japanese actors were good and the script seemed pretty solid. Freak Boy hated the American dubbed version... dubbed actors can't act. So he watches foriegn films in their original context with subtitles.
The movie took place during the cold war. It depicted it a bit different than RI History did. The Soviet Union & USA were currently talking about using nuclear weaponry on Godzilla to stop him. Alot of the references in the movie were to things that even in 2010 seemed ancient. So, of course, Bassarov was probably going to ask some questions to clarify.

"No problem, talk to you later. You know where to find me." Xavier waits in the lobby thinking of what they should discuss.

"They want to use nuclear weapons on the monster? That seems like a Kolov solution." Bassarov replies.
"Normally, how do they defeat the monsters?"

"Bye!" I say as I hang up, then immediately teleport to Helsinki. My room is checked out for another week yet just in case I don't come home immediately. I walk up to Mischa's apartment and knock on the door, knowing that Bassarov is there since I need to talk to him about what has been happening...

Bassarov gets up and answers the door. He sees it is Zero and lets her in. "Good to see you again. How have things been going in Serbia?" He asks.

Whatever. Space isn't all that different from the void.
Energy begins to gather around Satsujin, even though it was not visible, Surma could practically see it, it felt so stong.

"Nowhere and fast." I say, flopping down in a chair and lighting my first cigarette for the day. "We've been waiting a week and the Serbians still haven't come back."

"Other monsters. Good monsters. See, in the first Godzilla, they faced a dilemna much like this. Godzilla was a result of the nuclear strike on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as you heard the good doctor just say, he's a living nuclear weapon.
"Anyway, in the first Godzilla movie, all weapons proved impervious to him. They didn't penetrate his skin, he melted their barriers with his atomic-breath and he was unstoppable. They destroyed him with Dr. Sarazowa finally agreed to use the Oxygen Destroyer on Godzilla. It wipes out all Oxygen in water and leaves nothing alive. All that reamains of fish and other things in the water would be skeleton/exoskeleton. Sarazowa took his own life to ensure that his research would never fall into the wrong hands." Said Freak Boy. He continued explaining how Sarazowa had been faced with the choice. There was his fear, which might become reality, and Godzilla, which was reality.
"So Sarazowa destroyed all his research and agreed to help as he saw all the devestation on his television. He remained under water when the Oxygen Destroyer went off and removed his oxygen tank so that he would take his secret to the grave. When Godzilla returned he was stopped by Angilas. After that he was being pit against monster after monster. King Kong, Gigan, King Ghidorah, Megalon, etc. etc. However, the only thing that seemed to do anything to Godzilla that the Japanese made was the Mecha Godzilla. I have every Godzilla movie made in my pack. I'll let you borrow them if you want." he said as Godzilla unleashed a blast of energy from his mouth onto a series of tanks.
(note, this post takes place BEFORE Zero knocked on the door.)
Freak Boy turned at the knock and saw Zero enter the room. He recognized her from a security file he stole.

"At least they know we are interested in working with them, that is something." Bassarov says to Zero.
"Freakboy is telling me about his Godzilla movies. I have never watched them myself. Have you?"

"I saw the first one, the American version, though speaking Japanese does make parts of it easier to understand." I state, glad to be able to talk about nothing important. Being close to Bassarov still arouses me, though now I can tune it out somewhat... "I had stopped by to find out what was going on since I am the assistant leader... But it can wait until the movie is over."

"Not much has been going on. Freakboy is wanted by both LIF and Red Infinity, so we are doing what we can to protect him. Some rebels went to meet with the nihilists to collect more information. Otherwise, that is about it."
