The samurai's counter strike deflects Peter's sword away, but the Hunter does not evade the strike. The blade slashes open Peter's shirt and into his skin ut he does not back off.
Instead, even as his sword begins to turn, he swings his left hand around, which begins to glow dull blue. By the end of Iltanesh's slash, Peter's left hand is raised, leveled on the samurai, and Peter is only a foot or so away, the gash in his torso obvious.
At point blank range, Peter releases the charged compression energy from his left hand.

((It's a sakabatou, a reverse-bladed sword. The wakizashi is also reverse-blade))
I barely have time to summon some earth kami to help me resist the attack. The powerful blast hurls me backwards. Quickly, I summon some air kami to aid my descent and prevent me from taking even more damage.
"Not bad," I say, as I wave my hand and flames begin to gather around me.

Peter straights. He seems to shimmer for a moment, then returns to his normal state. Sliding into a stance with liquid grace, Peter waits.

The flames begin to twist around me as a massive whirlwind forms. Standing at the eye, I direct the winds to extend outward and a hurricane of flame moves out in all directions.

Peter shimmer again, and vanishes. Behind Iltanesh the air shimmers as well, and Peter leaps away from the samurai, his sneak attack foiled.
Magic then. Peter raises his left hand once more as the flaming winds come towards him, making guestures in the air with his hand.
A wash of flames errupts from Peter's hand, whirling with the fires Itlanesh sends further. The whirling hurricanes of fire swirl, back build, and then errupt in a burst of fire.
Throwing his arms over his head, Peter is lifted off the ground and thrown backwards. His back strikes a tree, the wooden giant shattering from the force of the impact. The Hunter drops to the ground, face, cloths, and arms charred black with ash and smoke.

I whirl on my feet and raise a wall of earth to shield myself from the explosion. The wall is hammered by the blast, but it holds. Tapping the power of wind, I slice the damaged wall into many large segments, and hurl them at Peter.

Peter stands properly as the rock chunks come at him. He slides to the side, evading the first, but there are alot of the stones coming rather quickly.
As the second comes at him he opens his right hand, causing his sword to vanish in a swirl of flames. He stays in place and strikes out with his right fist, slamming the rock away to the right, where it imbeds itself in a tree.
The rocks continue and each time Peter knocks the oncoming stone aside. Smaller ones shatter, the larger ones spin out, slamming down a short distance away.
As the last chuck slams down, Peter holds his hands out at arm's length before him, wrists together. Purple light swirls between his hands and a moment later a ball of explosive energy lances from Peter's torn, stone embedded hands.

I dive to the side, dodging the energy lance. Summoning water kami, I cause a gyser of water to errupt from under Peter, the pressure far greater than that of a fire hose.

Peter is sent flying into the air by the rush of water, slammed down onto the stream by the upward force. The water risies until it looses it's force and begins to fall.
Peter, however, does not fall. He flips off of the worn out stream and levitates in the air, high over Itlanesh. He hovers for a moment, then drops.
The Hunter slams down in a standing position, not bending or reacting to the massive drop at all. "You are indeed as skilled as you implied," Peter says, his voice the same as before, "But I must be leaving now. I have to find someone. I believe you won this match. I look forward to our next one."

"Indeed, it was an honor to fight you, Owl. Until we meet again."
I open a gate and return my Sakabatou, removing my true daisho and strapping it upon my belt.

"Until then." Peter turns and walks away from the samurai, back towards the farm. Enough training with strangers and alone. He needed to find Hope. He needed the strongest to train with. And she needed to gain strength as well. Peter was strong, but he was nto strong enough alone. Not for this.

I turn to Linda and frown. "Linda, I am not sure if I am ready to go back to Lapland. I don't know what I want to do. I think I did something wrong. I can't go back and face certain people. I know it must sound strange, but I need to be alone for a while."
"Go back to the farm. Tell Peter that I am sorry and that I am going to be alone for a while and that I need to think."
I don't say anything else. Before she can respond, I walk away.

Hope had not returned yet. Unusual. However human Hope was, and therefore distractable, she did understand the need for their training.
Without other options, Peter returns to solo training. He would focus on the supernatural this time, rather than the physical. Fighting gods, those would be the skills he would need.

"Returned to normal society?" he asked quirking a brow. "I believe you mean subdued by your skills, interrogated peacfully and finally assassinated without your knowledge. Even if your intentions are good, which I am skeptical about, Red Infinity won't just release me. They'll execute me, most likely on international television to make an example of me..."

I laugh.
"Dear boy if I wanted to kill a mere human such as yourself, I could have done so the moment I walked through this door. You have a dangerous paranoia, and you seem to think yourself the center of the universe. Both are problems that must be addressed during your rehabilitation."
