Stalin is slightly angered when he finds that Iris is not in the hospital room, however, he doesn't show it. He simply smiles at Erika, standing at the opposite end of the room. He would do this, no matter how long he had to wait.
"Erika, good to be seeing you again. How are you doing?" Stalin asked in a friendly voice as his Russian accent cut through each word.

Bassarov goes to the door and at first doesn't recognize Freakboy. After a moment, it registers who it is.
"Come in, good to see you. What's the cake for?"

Ruth didn't quite know how to broach the subject of the rebels, so she thought she'd just bring it up.
"So, I heard there's a lot of rebels around here... how about that?"
She felt like smacking her hand to her forehead. How more obvious could she be?

Garret shrugs stupidly and looks around. "Yeah there sure are a lot of rebels around here. That's why Red Infinity put a ministry here, so I suppose the rebels have to be careful now, since you never know who you're talking to. Yeah."

"Well, I have the world's crappiest refrigerator and if someone didn't eat this soon it would go to waste, so I figured I'd bring it here. You, Misch and Zero seem to have pretty big sweet teeth." Freak Boy said with a smile. "Plus, I haven't seen you guys in a while and wanted to know what's new."
Freak Boy placed the cake on the kitchen table, not aware that today was the meeting Bassarov had gotten ready. Whether or not he was invited, he was still a Rebel and it was a possibility, until the fridge story anyway, that that was why he showed up.

Ruth realized that she wasn't going to find out anything from this person. She couldn't tell if he was opposed to the government or not. This was terrible. She felt like giving up.

Garret says nothing but takes Ruth to the underground base. He takes Linnea's hand so that she comes along too. When they are in the rebel base he finally speaks to Ruth.
"Yeah, I am a marxist musician and my girlfriend here is an angel, so like, the League is always after her. We both have been arrested, but she gets captured more than I have. What about you?"
He shakes her hand.
"Oh, and by the way, my name is Garret...Garret thingysure."

"No joke, they are not too far from the rebel base. Zero went to investigate it. I suppose Red Infinity is trying to squash the rebelious activity in Helsinki. We have enjoyed the fact that there are no major Red Infinity buildings here for some time."
