"I can look for some information, but Noe is smart. He knows how to act, or at least how to cover his tracks. I will see what I can do but I do not know if I will be able to find enough information that we can use."

"I am confident in your abilities, just be certain to turn in any information you uncover to me before you reveal it." I state.

"Of course. Is there anything else you need, general? I need to make some changes in my information network to accomodate for the focus on the LIF."

"Of course. Good night, General," I say, bowing and exiting the room.

"Maybe in the past, but the world has changed. The nationalist movements today are the smallest and weakest movements. Most former nations don't even have nationalist movements. I see nothing special about America or any group of people. Everyone has a history. We can be united in our histories, rather than divided by them. I think that individualism is the source of all conflict, personal to international. Americans always have been too individualistic." I don't have a traditionaly western idea about the self. This comes from being raised communist, in China, and my pantheistic rather than monotheistic viewpoints.
To me, attachment to the self is an enemy to personal and international peace.

"What's wrong with individualisim? I don't know about you but I don't care for the idea of having no say in my own destiny, and I'm sure most people would agree with me..." I pause for a moment. "Am I correct in assuming that you have never left the planet?"

"I don't think that internationalism takes away individual freedoms. It just provides for the same laws for all people irrespective to culture, religion, etc. And no I have not left the planet." I reply.
"As for individualism, I think it is a road block in obtaining spiritual unity with the universe."
"But, you won't change my mind nor will I change yours. If you personally wish for America to be a sovereign nation, I do not agree with your politics, but I will not stand in your way. As an idea, there is nothing innately inhumane about it. However, it is your propensity towards violence to accomplish this goal of yours which I find the most troubling. That again stems from our different views about life. I see all life as equal and precious. Which is why I am a pacifist."

"You know, your views on internationalisim aren't so bad as what I've seen... But the truth is that Earth seems to be an exception rather than a rule... There are 311 planets in the Coalition of Indipendant Worlds, and most of them are united under a single government, but that government is rarely benign. I had hoped that this world wouldn't follow that path..."

"Oh, I was not aware of the politics of other planets. I know that Earth has some colonies in space, but I never hear much about them. I think it only makes sense to unite under one government, which ideally would represent all people, varied as we are, but united as one."

"If we could make it work I'd welcome it, but I seriously doubt it would ever work. I may take a sobatical away from the planet sometime, you're welcome to join me if you want a look at some other world politics."

"Sure. I do try to be open minded about how politics could or could not work. My main concern is peace between people. Nationalism has seemed to lead to more international discord than peace."

"Perhaps some sort of internationalistic nationalisim is the key, hell I don't know. I just want to try to help the people and to keep this planet out of the CIW."

"Well I think that something like the United Nations, but with more power might be a good start. I am not sure on the issue either. Nations could act as states, with some power, but largely subject to international law. I suppose that would be a compromise between internationalists and nationalists."
