"Yes..." I say, not really sure what else to say. I look around the apartment, and begin to wonder what became of everyone.
"Let's get some rest and we can look for the others in the morning..."

"Yes, I do feel strangely tired. Maybe it is this coming back to life and traveling between worlds."
I yawn and stand in the center of the living room somewhat awkwardly.
"At least you came back looking the same. I was worried, but..."
I take his hand.
"You are a little uneven, one arm is longer. I can tell. But it is close enough. "

I examine my arms, and at first start to think one is longer than the other, but then realize that it's a figment of my imagination.
"That wasn't funny by the way... At least both of my feet are shaped the way they should be." I take Simona's hand.
"Let's get some rest..." I say, leading her into one of the only hospitable rooms in the house. The walls have holes in them, the dressers are turned upside down, but the bed seems somewhat intact.
I lay down on the bed with Simona, and feel a strange, surreal feeling. Is this really my second chance?

"You heard that the Bloodspeakers have taken losses as well? Phillipe this is wonderful news." Xavier says with sudden enthusiasm.
"It is too bad we can not send someone down into the catacombs to do some spy work. I would like to know their current numbers."

Post by Valodya Bassarov on Feb 25, 2005 0:15:38 GMT -5
Bassarov spends some time alone, and when he feels refreshed enough he prepares to teleport back to the base. He should be glad that Zero and Mischa are finally getting along and both are taking care of him. But, he doesn't want to be taken care of. Sometimes he does, especially when he is very down, but not when it compromises his autonomy.
"Ugh, they must hate me. I am so disgusted with myself. Well, I had better get some things done before we go."
Bassarov teleports back to the rebel base and sees the feminists, Green Party, and nationalists. The Helsinki base is a home for political refuges.
"Hello everyone. Good to see so many people here. Is there anything I can do to help you organize?"

"Hello Mr. Bassarov, La Resistance is meeting here at the moment to discuss the future of our organization. At least we are getting back on our feet. Philipe informed us that the Bloodspeakers have taken losses, which is hopeful since they caused our group so many problems."

"That is good news. I am glad that something is working out for someone. The Green Party will be glad to learn that the power of the Bloodspeaker cult is waning. They took terrible losses as well."
Bassarov makes a mental list of things he has to do.
1. Help Green Party Rebuild Base 2. Help Green Party find a new leader 3. Help Feminists repair base and return to their home 4. Discussion with feminists over appropriate policies concerning Red Infinity in wake of attack
...
Bassarov can't think of anything else of importance at the moment, but he is bogged down by these tasks alone. This doesn't even count work for the 4th International.

I look up from my work when Valkoinen returns.
"I wanted to say that I am sorry for what happened. Maybe I am just too nymphish sometimes. I hope you forgive me."

Chaya listens to the story about vampires and becomes a little frightened. He doesn't know what to think. Raz doesn't seem to take the threat seriously, and he is not sure if he should.
"So you think that Lin-Sat is rounding up vampires so he can control them? That's really scary." Chaya says to the members of the Black Hand.

"What the Serbians are saying isn't entirely unfounded. I was researching last night and found some information that there are strange connections between vampires and a demon named Kuro, as well as the demon Kuro and Lin-Sat. Hagana has been unable to determine the nature of the relationship, but it is worth looking into." Ezra offers.
He hates to write the Serbians off entirely. He notes that Raz isn't the most diplomatic woman in the world. He doesn't say anything about this, but is pleased that he has a niche in their friendship.

(Note: Everything about Helene is different. No one should reconize her.)
Helene calmly walks into the Helsinki base, though people gape at her being so under-dressed in this weather. She walks through the base, looking for Bassarov. Then it occurs to her that being dead so long, she had forgotten somethings, like what he looked like.
Anyone know where I can find Valodya Bassarov?

Sava is glad that someone is taking Aleksandar's warnings seriously.
"It may sound a little far fetched right now, and I am sure you have other things to worry about, but could you at least look into finding more information out about the legitimacy of these threats. If he said he heard someone talking about it, it would be foolish to just write it off as gossip. Even if it is, it is always better to check into false alarms, then ignore them and allow for something bad to happen."

"This is just my opinion, but an organization is only as powerful as its members and suporters. What good is Kaitalish when he has no one to do his bidding. It is at least easier to take something like that out than have to deal with a whole organization of his followers as well as him." Bassarov states to the French nationalists.
He notices a woman enter the base, but isn't sure who she is.
"I'm over here, can I help you?"

"I will see what information I can find out. I am interested in learning more about the connection between this demon, vampires, and Lin-Sat anyway. I am aware that Red Infinity employs many powerful vampires, so if nothing else, I will learn more about them. I doubt my efforts will be in vain."
Ezra turns to Raz and hopes that she approves of him doing extra work to help out the Serbians. He knows that she doesn't take this as a genuine threat, and he doesn't really either, but at least it is a way to befriend the Serbians.
