Sadly, the site will be closing. This will be my last time on the site, but Mischa will check this thread if anyone has any comments.
By wednesday the site will be in maintanence mode so members will not be able to access it.

Think of things being left open ended. You can create your own ending for your characters and for what happened to the Red Infinity government.
It is better to make your own conclusions.

It was a great RPG, friend... the only one that could hold my attention and suck up my time. To think that a red and black screen with little white boxes could turn this nice girl into a blood-sucking, man-using, violently-cranky vixen... among various other characters...it was sure fun.

This was a hard decision to be made, and as out of the blue as this may seem, it has been discussed for awhile by both Bassarov and myself.
We're both really really sorry to have to do this, the site is so much busier than it ever was, with more new members than either of us have ever seen. But this is just taking up way too much of our lives, and we can't live on the internet anymore. And so long as this site exists, so does the temptation.
This past year has been great, and I can say that I'm very fortunate to have met everyone, and sad that I didn't post with more of you. However, I'm sure you'll all make do. If there is anything you would like to ask either of us, you can email trotskyforpresident@operamail.com or IM me, RIsForRevolution, on AIM.
I would really like the notion of someone else running the rpg, or maybe even the members themelves run the rpg (a microchasm of socialism, how sweet would that be?), but, we just have way too many vital characters that are essential to the rpg.
One thing that hadn't been mentioned is that Bassarov had some wicked depression and anxiety, which is compounded by the fact that we could just fall back on this internet reality, anyone who's had anxiety and depression knows that it's just a downward spiral. Once you start saying "I don't want to see anyone", then you won't see anyone, which just keeps making things worse for yourself.
Plus, unless you've been very selective in your reading of our posts, you should've gathered that we're both pretty politically active. That's really been stifled by this site, and is very important for both of us, so we can have more time to stay politically active.
So, as being symbolic of getting our lives back in order, this had to be done. I thank you all for being as understanding as you have been on such short notice.

The power system is refined, but overall roleplaying style should remain essentially the same. I'll be picking up the slack left by the passing of Red Infinity, so anybody who wishes to join is more than welcome to do so. |

Well as much of a disappointment as it is I am not greatly surprised. I wish we could have played out the end game that was discussed but oh well. All of you have fun.
BTW I endorse Void's site recommendation, at least give it a try.
