Seppo goes to Helsinki Jr. High, where he is not popular. He is a loner who has an abusive father and complacent mother. He spends a lot of his time going on walks and hanging out at the library, anything to avoid going home.
One day he checked a book out of the Library called the "Lost book of the Kalevala"
As he read the book, Lemminkainen said a spell from it, which caused the book to disintegrate and allowed the soul of the goddess of pain, Loviatar to enter his body.
Loviatar is an ally to Louhi, and one of the great and evil gods of the Kalevala.
Sometimes Loviatar tries to control his mind and take over his body. When she does this, he becomes pure evil.
He can phsically transform into the goddess, but tries hard not to, since although he is angry and bitter, he cares about the world.
His only friend is an online friend named Vaara, who he has never met.
