But there is a memory Hikari will never forget, instead, cherish it always.
When she was only 6 years old, there was a boy... a childhood friend. His name was Hideki, a 10 year old boy.. who fell in love with her. They had always played together, since the beginning. But one day, he confessed to her.
Hikari was confused, she did not understand. So, Hideki asked for a promise between them, the promise was to meet again when they grew older... so Hikari could understand, could learn to understand. They hooked pinkies that morning, it was a chilly morning. Hideki wrapped his scarf around her neck and kissed her on the forehead, he stood up and left, he just left.
Hikari still has the scarf now, at age nine. She is still awaiting Hideki's return... this time, when they meet again, she would confess her feelings to him.
Little does Hikari know.. he won't be returning.
