Name: Iltanesh
Age: 20
Race: Spirit-Touched Human (A spirit-touched human is a human who has an inherent attunement to the spirit world and the kami. The spirit-touched are adept at channeling both their own spiritual energy or ki, as well as calling upon the assistance of the kami to aid them.
Gender: Male
Nationality: Japanese
Alignment: Monarchial (owes fealty to defunct Japanese monarchy)
Occupation: Samurai
Weapon:
Spirit Blades: A katana and wakizashi forged by Iltanesh's own hands, adorned with totems and blessed by rituals, the Spirit Blades are weapons that are intuned to Iltanesh. The strength of his ki is what powers the blade, when his spirit is weak the weapons' power wanes and they becomes more like that of a normal katana and wakizashi. When his spirit is strong, the blades' power increases. The blades scorn the touch of another, but they can still be wielded by them, they merely manifest no special abilities. The blades cannot cut their rightful master, and anyone attempting to attack Iltanesh with these blades will find that the blades themselves stay their hand.
Spirit Rifle: The Spirit Rifle was also created by Iltanesh, and it too has undergone rituals in order to attune itself to Iltanesh. The Rifle does have normal ammunition, but it charges the ammunition with ki, making it all the more powerful. The Rifle, unlike the sword, will not function at all in the hands of another, it simply will not fire. The Spirit Rifle is equipped with a scope, also charged with ki, that allows Iltanesh to see further than normal. Uses a 7.7 mm cartridge.
Stats:
Intelligence: 200
Strength: 200
Charisma: 100
Spirit: 200
Defense: 100
Endurance: 100
Speed: 100
Powers:
Dimensional Rift: Summoning the kami of Air and Time, Iltanesh creates a dimensional rift that allows instantaneous movement to any locale he is familiar with or has at least a somewhat reasonable description of. The rift allows him to travel anywhere within 500,000 miles of his current location.
Divine Fist: Normally the spirit weapons draw upon the latent and excess ki that Iltanesh emits. However, when using this attack, Iltanesh directly charges his weapons with them, creating a much more powerful attack that can pierce shields and barriers with ease, if not destroying them outright.
Aid of the Earth and Wind: When under attack, Iltanesh calls upon the kami of earth and air to shield him from harm. This creates an orb of force around him that can absorb a great deal of damage, but is by no means impenetrable. A steady stream of powerful attacks can easily destroy the barrier.
Weaknesses:
Bushido: The code of bushido is a harsh master, and Iltanesh must adhere to its principles utterly. Should he go outside of Bushido, his life is forfeit.
Socially Inept: Iltanesh is not skilled in most social interactions, his training has kept him away from most human contact and thus he cannot interact well with others outside of battle.
Appearance: Iltanesh has short, straight black hair and angular brown eyes. His garb is certainly different. He wears brown hakima and a white kimono, both simple, yet elegant pieces made of silk. He wears his two blades openly at his side, strapped to a white, silken obi His rifle is strapped upon his back by brown leather cords, but it is in a large holster that allows him to draw it forth with ease.
Personality: Iltanesh was raised a spiritualist. Both his father and his mother are deeply intuned with the spirit world, and have preserved their family history and tradition from the days of the samurai. Iltanesh honors his tradition, but his spirit remains free. Unfettered by obligations, he travels the world, selling his service to whoever is willing to pay him and offer him interesting work. A modern-day ronin to the core, Iltanesh swears allegiance to nobody, but follows the strict codes of Bushido and defends them with his life.
Story: Iltanesh's family comes from a long line of spiritualists. He shares the deep connection to the spirit world that his parents have, earning him the title "Spirit-Touched." Due to his youth, his training is as of now incomplete, but he is developing his spiritualistic abilities and deepening his relationship to the spirits as he travels. Iltanesh was raised a samurai, and he holds the code of Bushido to heart. It takes precedence in all of his decisions, though he remains a modern-day ronin, choosing to swear fealty to no faction. Iltanesh is originally from Kyoto.
