story:
She is a member of an ancient race of people known as the Tuatha de Dannan or People of the Goddess Danu, who long ago inhabbited Ireland. They were defeated by conquering Fomorians (?) and exiled to an underground world.
They were not quite human but something above humans in that they were skilled with art and magic and lived longer lives. They can be thought of as akin to elves, spirits or faieries, though they appear as beautiful humans.
Aoife left her people thousands of years ago to adventure and see the world. From then on she joined different political causes in her country, even joining the IRA at one point.
But her heart was really dedicated to protecting the environment. Her best years where when she was a member of the Irish Green Party. However, the Green Party was eventually destroyed by Red Infinity. So now she has gone searching for another environmental group that she can join.
She wonders if there are others like her on Earth since she has long forgotten how to return home to the secret world of the Tuatha de Dannan.
