They say that but I'm not sure how much application it actually had. My Fei was high 60's to low 70's when I beat the game.

Sorry to butt in. My Fei was level 80 something I think, but Xenogears sucked against almost everything. btw, Citan was rocked with his sword.

Yes, Citan was one of my favorites. I found the Xenogears to be extremely useful, it dished out good damage and when it hit hyper mode it was nigh unstoppable.

Ki Travel: Fei uses his spiritual energy to condense time and space, creating a rift that allows travel to anywhere he is at least relatively familiar with. This can be used inside his gear.

Level had little to do with mech functioning... it was mostly based off physical upgrades to the gear.

I remember them saying something about how the Xenogear shouldn't need fuel, the engine was just still there. I never found out if it did or not.

Finally, I've been wondering when you where gonna get that. You should've gotten it earlier.

I should have done it earlier but I figured I could just wing it until I did get it. The gating was a must because its staple for all my characters, as I'm sure some of my fights have shown.

Energy Burst: The manifestation of this power is usually a pretty good indication that Fei is going to transform into Id. Destructive energy flies out from Fei in chaotic patterns, striking just about anything in their path, while Fei himself is engulfed in a flame-like substance. Id can use this at will, but Fei can only use it while enraged.

A Divided Mind: Fei's mind is a truly intricate and complex thing. Anyone wishing to infiltrate it goes through several layers. The first layer belongs to Fei, and appears as a bleak emptiness partially obscured in mist. The second layer is under the control of the personality known as Id. It appears as whatever Id desires, and can be manipulated as Id wishes. Those passing through here are immediately known to Id, who will probably move to destroy them. At the very core is a black, impenetrable Orb that NOTHING can enter. Nobody knows what is within, not even Id. If Fei's mind is attacked, and Fei is incapacitated, Id will immediately take over. If Fei's mind is entered, they must travel through it in order to obtain whatever it is they seek. Any information a character wishes to obtain from Fei's mind must be obtained through Id.

-Ashen Id is from Xenogears. Its really confusing and I won't even try to explain it to you. Id is basically what happens when Fei gets knocked out or over loaded with stress or emotion. I think.
