It's complex. Id is the true being, Fei is a sheild to hold him down, with the aid of the three personality: "coward". You have to play the game to get it all.

Spoilers and such:
Actually, "Coward" is the true personality. When Fei's mother was taken over by Miang and began experimenting on Fei, "Coward" created "Id" in order to receive all of the horrible experiences while "Coward" retreated to the mind's core and watched old memories of his mother before she changed into that horrible monster. As such, Id began to hate pretty much everything, hence his violence and volitility. Kahn Fong Wong, Fei's father, managed to create "Fei" to seal Id and Id's destructive power. While Id is mightier than Fei and controls the memories that Fei has, Id cannot be freed unless Fei is knocked out or under considerable emotional strain or anguish, as Deetric said.

-Ashen But to fit it into the universe of the board, I used Segmund Freud to explain it. Then again, I don't think anyone really cares about that. *Sigh* So much reading for that little explaination.

Well, the whole thing IS a Freudian concept. Fei is Superego, Id is Id (obviously) and Coward is Ego.
