The Immortal Birch of Tapio- When under heavy attack, Iivari can turn into a birch tree. This birch tree is protected by the god Tapio and will not sustain any damage at all. The only problem is, when he is the immortal tree he can not move or use any ability. He can not even speak. Therefore, although he can not be destroyed, he can not fight in this form, nor use any other power such as healing or telepathy.

Iivari is the son of a Finnish maiden and a birch tree. In an ancient ceremony, his mother was married to a birch tree. This was in honor of the god of the forest Tapio. The maiden was going to kill herself out of the grief of having to marry an inanimate object. She prayed to Tapio and his wife Mielikki and they answered her prayers.
They gave human form to the tree, but only on the night of the full moon.
Iivari is the son of this couple, rendering him half human and half plant.
Because of his herritage, he has a strong connection to nature. Because of his spiritual connection of nature, he became a priest of the ancient religion of Finland. The religion that Finnish people followed before Christianity.
He primarily worships Tapio and Meilikki, his grandparents, but he also worships Ukko, the highest of the ancient Finnish gods.
He joined the Green Party out of concerns for nature, but is also a member of Eternal Light, since he believes in religious freedoms.
