Before joining keep in mind that there are certain characters that we want to avoid. Here are some guidelines you should follow when creating a character.
1. We will not accept an anime, movie, disney, video game, etc. rip off character. This means you can not play as Inuyasha, Ursula from the little mermaid, Sephiroth, etc. ALL CHARACTERS MUST BE ORIGINAL!!
You may use an avatar image from anywhere you like, but the name and the personality must be different from the avatar character.
You may not use pop culture figures either. That means you can not play as Britney Spears, Avrile Lavigne, etc. Though you can use their image with an original character not based on them.
2. We will not accept a character who does not have a sense of history or purpose. All characters should be motivated by something and have some reason for being in the group they choose to be in. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT A
"MYSTERIOUS PAST" WITH NO EXPLAINATION. wE WILL NOT ACCEPT CHARACTERS WHO DO NOT HAVE A POLITICAL ALIGNMENT. WE ALSO WILL NOT ACCEPT PURPOSELESS MERCENARIES.
3. We will not accept "fluffy" characters. Fluffy characters are those who have a very one dimensional personality or are very cliche. An example would be a ditzy anime girl who likes to have fun or a deadly fighter with no personality who only likes to fight. Depth means that a character is multi faceted. A character can be ditzy, but is not ALL the time. TRY NOT TO MAKE A "CHARACTER" TRY TO MAKE SOMETHING HUMAN LIKE, SOMETHING REALISTIC. Ask yourself, would someone in real life act like this?
4. We will accept characters based off of fictional characters or historical figures in some cases if it relates to the rpg. For instance, the character Valodya Bassarov is based off of a nihilist named Evgeny Bassarov from the Russian novel "Fathers and Sons" but Bassarov is different enough from this other character that it is not a rip off as mentioned in rule number one. Elijah Debs is the fictional son off the real life socialist Eugene Debs and Simona Weil is based off the French anarchist philosopher/spiritualist Simone Weil.
These are examples of acceptable historical and fictional rip offs.
If it from a book or from history it is most likely acceptable.
From anime or pop culture it is most likely unacceptable.
5. We will not accept characters that do not make sense in this world. For instance, we are not accepting any more rich people, since Red Infinity has all of the world's resources.
6. We will no accept any more rebels who are rebels only because a relative or loved one died and they want revenge. This is over used.
7. Although we accept characters inspired by historical figures, we are no longer accepting historical figures themselves.
I will add more to this later, but these are just a few things to consider.
