Cereus has pale skin, medium length black hair, is thin and wears form fitting clothes, usually black and red. His eyes are ice blue.
Personality:
Cereus is very friendly and likeable, he is opportunistic and apolitical. He sides with whoever is on top and whomever he can gain the most from working for. He is clever and knows when to keep his mouth shut. To him, life is a game and morals are irrelevant. Winning is everything. He is self interested, but not materialistic or lazy. He is slippery and silver tongued.
story:
Long ago, according to the myths of this rpg, Kuro came to Earth to steal the souls of humans for his own power. Some humans were spared if they joined Kuro. Cereus didn't want to die, so he drank Kuro's blood for an immortal life. According to the rpg, this is the origin of vampires. In other words, vampires are the humans who gave up their humanity to serve Kuro thousands of years ago.
Kuro was eventually defeated and sealed within a dark crystal by the god and some of the vampires. Cereus was one of the vampires who stood against him in a rare act of selflessness.
Years past and Cereus did many things. He served kings and queens, he traveled the world, he watched wars and disasters, and was a complacent witness to the changes in history. He served that which could serve him for many centuries.
Always a servant to those on the top, he joined Red Infinity five years after it came to power. After years of service, he was promoted to Minister of Economics. As Minister of Economics, he is the architect of the 5 year plans of Red Infinity's command economy. This position would seem to contrast against his capitlist leanings, but it is actually his capitalist beliefs which brought him to Red Infinity, since he saw serving them as an avenue to personal wealth and power. He serves them blindly and without question, because it is in his personal interest to.
Even though he is loyal to Red Infinity, he secretly makes deals with the capitalists and the FRA. This is the main reason why these capitalist groups have not been crushed by Red Infinity. He is a close friend of Dinari Dollar, but not because he likes Dinari. He is a friend of Dinari's since he knows he can guide and take advantage of his friend and gain access to his assets in the process.
Another friend of his is Ukko. He is an atheist and believes in Ukko's plans for a revolution against the Gods. He thinks that religion and morals are obsticals to personal freedom, and, if asked to, would aid his god friend in the battle against the other gods. He normally does not fight for any idea, but he has confidence that Ukko would prevail in such a battle.
If forced to tell the truth about his politics, he might say that he doesn't believe in government at all, but holds the rights of individual freedom above all things. This belief in personal freedom and the individual's right to seek prosperity in any way they see fit, makes him an anarcho capitalist. But this extreme individualism and self interest has caused him not to fight for an anarcho capitalist world, but actually, to serve the worst of regimes and the opposite of everything he believes in, out of his own personal interest. He lives his politics, but doesn't practice them, you could say.
As mentioned above, he once fought Kuro. Now he serves him once again, since Lin-Sat is Kuro. Cereus has no idea that Lin Sat is Kuro, and if he did, he might have some qualms with serving Red Infinity. Lin Sat is aware that Cereus works for him, and finds this amusing. He would some day like to have revenge on Cereus for his defeat long ago, but for now, Lin Sat keeps silent as he bides his time. He can not wait for the day when Cereus learns the truth of who his master is.
