Bassarov quickly figures out what this "business" is about.
"I was captured by the Ministry of Terror and she was my torturer. She could have killed me, but she let me go. Her name is Kaieka. I really don't know anything beyond that," Bassarov says boredly.

Mortis:
"Thank you sir, I appreciate your kindness. Now then, enough about me. Maybe you should do something nice for Yohko. You tried running away from her earlier. She might get the impression that you don't care to be around her."

"Well, then I'm afraid," Lachek smiles, "that you've outlived your usefulness." He draws his butterfly knife from his breastcoat pocket where he keeps it, and flips it into an open position, blade pointed toward the man. "Would you mind telling me one more thing? I always like to know the names of the people I kill, It makes it so much more personal."

TEXTBassarov summons his magical sickle (I had to give myself at least one power for all my posts!). His sickle always appears when needed, which saves him the trouble of having to conceal it.
"I don't understand this. You are as ridiculous as those clothes that you are wearing. I have not crossed you nor to I intend to. And if this is about Kaieka, you have the wrong idea I'm afraid. I give my heart to my cause and nothing else."

"Yeah, I'll move to the couch," I said. I took my book to the couch and then sat down. I looked at the balcony. "Maybe I should go outside for awhile. I went out on the balcony. There, I saw two men, one holding a knife and the other a sickle. "OHMYGOSH!!"

Mortis:
"Hmm...I wonder what she would like. Maybe you should find for her the most beautiful and rare flower and give it to her as a gift. I don't know if she cares for flowers, but it is worth a try."

"You expect me to believe that you have absolutely no attraction to that beautiful woman. You do not fool me, even if you fool yourself. Ah, I see that you have a magical weapon. Perhaps, though you are not skilled at appreciating fine clothing, you may yet surprize me as a fighter."

I was panicking. Should I call the police? Should I go down and try to end the fight?

"I would rather not fight you since I find this whole affair idiotic and unnecessary. I'll stand by what I told you before. My true love is socialism, the lover who scorned me. Any attraction to Kaieka is merely an expression of my frustration over the failure of my revolution. I will fight you though. Not because of Kaieka, but because I hate smug aristocrats like yourself."
With that, Bassarov clenches his sickle and waits for Lachek to make the first move.
"And by the way, my name is Valodya Bassarov, the legendary revolutionary who established this regime."

Mortis:
"This is all part of your mission, since it would help you to understand the emotions of love and compassion."

Lachek yawned widely as Bassarov explained who he was. "Am I supposed to be impressed? Well, I'm not." He spun his knife around his hand once and at once rushed with great speed at Bassarov, blade forward.
