It was true but not what he thought. Sure she was acting very brash. But it was to stop the destruction and she would do anything to stop it, Anything! Even if it were so lowly, but deep inside she wanted it.
She moved into him and kissed him and she held onto him tightly. She relesed him from the embrace and moved her head to the side. "You never answered love. What can i do to persuade you?"

But, if you insist on my staying. It would be nice to have a decent room, instead of being chained to a wall... or for that matter, chained at all.

Keitoleinen sees this as a desperate way to distract him from destroying things. He is not amused.
"Have you ever heard of a drow elf priestess named Astilith? She was much better at that...."
He pushes her away and cap sizes boat full of humans trying to flee the city, and ignores Celeste completely.

It didn't work. All of that and he didn't bite. She was so angry she just blurted out to him
"Kietoleinen,wait. I am sorry. I do not know what came over me. It was not me. I was only trying to....I don't know what i was trying to do. I'm sorry. I love you. After all of this time i still love you. I wish i didn't but i do. I don't know what came over me."What she said was all true. Whether he believed it or cared it was true.
She was embarrassed and angry but at herself for being so stupid and allowing herself to go to far.

Kietoleinen is entertained by this, her desperate attempt to either distract him or show that she cares.
"I am going to give you some advice. Firstly, you are acting pathetic. Have you lost all sense of pride in yourself? You son would be ashamed if he saw you. Secondly, as much as this degraded state amuses me, I liked you better when you were..I dont know, pure and good. With all due respect, I like to destroy, and you, I have already destroyed. I therefore must move on..."

His words sting and she knows the truth of them. But must not show weakness even now. He may bring her down but she did all she could to stop the fight with what she had.
"Listen up you piece of fodder. I am not destroyed. Before, you said that i could not battle you which was correct. Not like that. So yes i used my femenine whiles on you which is pathetic but was for the greater good in my eyes. For I stopped you for awhile. As for what i said it is unimportant. The things i felt for you though they might still be there i control them. As i did you for a short period of time."
She knows he will now attack her and is ready. Perhaps it was too soon to try and come against him in battle of any kind.

"You are near your breaking point. (smiles) There is only one woman I could never crack...a dark elf named Astilith...ever heard of her?"

The mention of this woman causes a small pang of jealousy but she quickly quiets it.
"I do not believe i am close to breaking. i belive i am far from it." She considers his question. "I do not know of this dark elf, Astilith."

She knows he is trying to get a rise out of her. She will not let him make her jealous. He talks of a dark elf after her.....
"I do know who you are talking about. she was the one who replaced me!!! So she had the good sense to leave you. Ah well now i know why you were slumming for humans when we met!"

"She did not leave me...she died..she died you fool!! I am a god, I live nearly forever....she did not.."
He tries to hide any anguish about this loss.
"I have a city to destroy. This is a waste of time. You are wasting my time..."

She goes over to him and places a hand on his shoulder.
"I know we are enemies by our past but that was uncalled for. I did not know she had passed. That is very unfortunate. please i am serious now we can stop this for us. I do not wish anything from you i just wanted to talk then this mess happened. Could we not just for a small amount of time, talk. I ask for so little. But if not let this whole mess resume and everyone fights everyone. Could they not do without you?"

Keitoleinen thinks of Kith and how he should be kinder to him. He is after all the only remant of his lost love.
"I should visit Kith, he is not as bad as people say. Red Infinity caused all of his problems, actually."

She looks at him and is soo sad for him, and for herself. He never loved her. But there is good in him, perhaps he can be saved.
"Please tell me about Astilith. She must have been someone very special. I envy her in what she brought out of you. Tell me of your son Kith. perhaps you and i could see him together and i might meet him and i could see her in him." She is being completely honest and wants to help him. "Tell me anything for you will find i am a great listener. let the past between us be forgotten for now. Let me lend my ears to you."
She looks at him with compassion, hoping he will understand what she is offering is genuine.

"You and I will not see Kith, you are nothing to me and will have no part in my life, beyond the memory of someone I f'ucked long ago. Astilith was a high priestess of the old drow religion. But their goddess the spider queen....was dead. She died in the god wars. Thus the drow cities were in a state of chaos...more than usual that is. The high priestess prayed in vain to her dead goddess. I pittied her and came to the drow city. I offered to replace the goddess. That is how I became the god of the dark elves. I admired her strength and devotion to the goddess. She was a pious woman, who took easily to worshiping me....."
Keitoleinen reflects on those memories.
"I fell in love with her...a strange thing for me....
We had a son together. She named him Kith. But shortly afterwards the city was raided by Light Elves in the name of their god Meterex. Astilith was taken from the world...and from me....and Surma could do nothing....for me...."
He glances at the destruction.
"I was so devasted that I had nothing to do with Kith. Seeing you reminded me of my love for her. Since you mentioned your son, who I do not give a d'amn about.
He is arrogant and too good. He follows the orders of my nemesis, Jumlala Mythysta. At least Kith destroys things and resents the gods."
