She is taken aback by this. But composes herself
"I know you cared nothing for me or our child. I don't pretend that you ever did. What happened with us was a long time ago." Afraid to scare him off she chooses her words carefully. "You must understand that i merely wished to help. I do not wish to anger you. I just wanted to know more about the woman who actually won your heart. How someone could actually get you to love. I thought you would like to talk so i offered and i know insulting me helps your ego so i am overlooking it. But if you'd like to continue please do."

"It is a curse to be a god, for pain is as immortal as my lfe. But that is all I have to say about that. Words do not bring back the dead...unless you are a necromancer ( he smirks) but that would be an abomination of life."
Keitoleinen turns to the batttle.
"When this is over, I will see Kith and tell him that I love him. I will tell him of his mother, and how dear she was to me."
He walks toward the fighting
"Enough of that. Time to kill and destroy!!" He laughs.

Kallen gets off of the train and into pandemonium. The city is under attack and she has a good idea where it all started. With a quick prayer to the goddess she takes off toward where the church was, well use to be, and she sees people being herded to saftey. Beings are fighting all around her. She sees everyone running but a man who seemed to be no man at all but a demon of some sorts. Is he the leader of the rebels she had been told about? he fit the description. With out a word she comes up beside of him and helps him get people to safety. When he protests she tells him he can not do it alone so she stays and helps.

After a long rest, I fold my hands behind my head and stare up at the ceiling.
I look over and see Riku sleeping.
I let out a long sigh.
"That certainly was interesting. I can't say that I've ever dealt with someone who could stop time before." I said to whomever would listen.
I start looking for patterns in the ceiling, when I remembered seeing Bassarov lying on top of Kaieka. I'm sure she'll be fine, but I don't know about Bassarov.
I know he wasn't anywhere near her when I fired. He must've dove in front of her.
That idiot.

Bassarov is kept alive only by Chornebogk, the ancient Russian spirit of darkness. The creature whom he is the reincarntion of, will not allow him to die, yet, it is too weak to help him live. Thus Bassarov sleeps in a limbo between life and death. His human soul pining for death, and Chornebogk fastening him to life.
He feels nothing and thinks nothing. His mind is empty and dark.

I feel around my pockets, and notice my cigarettes are gone.
D'amnit.
"Why does he want me alive anyways? It doesn't make sense."
I'm going to start getting emotional without my nicotine, I hope Riku doesn't mind. I start thinking about how Bassarov and Kaieka are doing. My mind starts to wander into the past, and I start thinking about my family. She was sent to a labor camp when I was very young, and I hadn't seen her since. No, that can't be. I saw my mother raped, beaten, and killed by soldiers. I don't remember whom they belonged to, but I swear I saw it. But if that's true, why do I also remember her being very old, and growing up with her?
When I was a POW, an older man, American, in the same cell as me once asked: "Nadyezhda... That means 'hope', right?" "Yes, it does. You speak Russian?" "Yes. I knew someone else with that name. I fought with him, he must've died right around the time you were born. He reminded me a lot of you. He said 'my father told me that hope never dies, and neither will I. I never found out what he meant by that.''" "Funny, I remember my father telling me that. Life is full of coincidences."
That was the last conversation I had with him.
I need a cigarette.

Post by Omadon on Feb 24, 2004 13:23:33 GMT -5
"Well it just so happens that I have a mortal style room for such cases. You can use it if you wish, I have no need of it."
Omadon slowly raises Bassarov's face, making it look at him though the eyes are lifeless, dead.
"Well, some interesting new at least. Your friend isn't dead yet. Oh, right the chains," the maicales fall off Kaieka's wrists, "There you are, all better."
The Necromancer releases Bassarov's head, which flops down, laying against his chest. He draws his hand back slightly then thrusts forward, his hand passing through Bassarov's chest like his flesh and cloths were water.
"Yes, there's something in there alright..." Omadon moves his hand around like a man in a dark room searching for the light switch. "Yes... that's where it should be..."
Suddenly he jerks back, pulling his hand free. For a split second something black and horrible seems to follow his hand out but it's gone, like some horrid image summoned by a child's imagiantion.
Omadon hisses very quickly and with great emotion in some anicent tounge, rubbing the hand that went into Bassarov.
"Well, that explains the not quite dead mystery," he says after a time, "Your former lover has something inside him, something old. Impressive spirit of evil to say the least..."
Omadon looks at Kaieka briefly then turns back to Bassarov, "It's keeping him from dying... but he isn't alive either... how amazingly unique. Most demons flee their host upon such wounds. Either this is a demon unlike any I know or..." Omadon's hand moves towards the void of hood for a moment, an odd guesture since he has no face anymore, "Or he's not possessed. Then that spirit would be him... a reincarnation!"
Omadon laughs his cracked and chilling laugh, "Oh, this is going to be interesting."

Kaschei returns to his study and reads another spell book. He usually spends up to 8 hours a day reading spells. This, however, is his only passion, so he can think of nothing that he would enjoy more.
He is glad that things are finally under control. Kaieka and Bassarov are dead. Mikhael and Riku are captured. Everything is going well. He considers calling the Ministry of Health to check up on baby Sazumi, but decides it is not worth the effort.

For a moment she is touched at his obvious love of his family. Then rage replaces that tenderness for he cares nothing for their child.
"Thank you for confiding in me i hope i helped. But alas god of destruction if you choose to rejoin this fight i must not allow you to continue. We are enemies once more and our fight continues as well. You have gone too far and must be stopped!"
She knows that he is too strong for her to win without help. But she has to try. She must help stop this senseless slaughter if for nothing else just because he is her enemy.

The rain washes over everything causing burning on her exposed skin and hissing when it hits her armor. She cries down to everyone to take cover. she then looks at him. she thinks to herself why do we always have to fight?
"My turn."
She takes out her cross bow and aims directly at his heart...Stars of night...a celestial arrow heads for him, she knows he was anticipating that but half way through the arrow breaks into 7 arrows coming at him from different directions.

Keitoleinen raises his arms and the groud is displaced. Large jagged rocks spear out of the Earth creating a canyon around him. The celestial arrows hit the rock wall, causing it to explode into sediments.
Kietoleinen moves out of the way of the falling rock shards.
He summons forth a swam of Killer bees to assualt her. He aggressive africanized bees sting Celeste with relently cruelty.

the stings are very painful and their poisen is causing excrutiating pain yet she fights on. Swatting them with her crossbow then just relenting to them. She rights herself and laughs at the god. Through swollen lips she cries out to him.
"Bees? Ha i would have thought c'ockroaches to be more your style."
She takes her whip and begins a running attack. She cracks over her head twice and brings it down right over him.
She nows she can not survive much more but she is determined to at least give her all.

I rub my wrists as the manacles fall off and watch as Omadon inserts his hand into Bassarov's chest, groping around.
"Oh yes, that. Some demon, indeed. I remember seeing him in that form once, quite impressive. So, he's not dead after all... pity."
I stretch and walk toward the room that Omadon offered me.
"Well, if you need nothing else, then I will be taking a rest. The day has been a bit tiresome, and I have some wounds which are making it a b'itch to have to stay awake and walk around."
I walk into the room and shut the door. I sit down on a little cot, and inspect the bullet holes in my chest and abdomen. The exit wounds are a bit large. D'amn whoever it was that shot me! These will take awhile to heal. I hope they don't leave nasty scars. I pride myself on my appearance.
I slip out of my torn dress and under the covers. I close my eyes and go to sleep.
