"Well, don't think I've ever heard any one say that before I killed them...ice sards!"
Turks says trowing the sharp ice shards at Trent.
"Lets see you dodge those."[/i]

Morning comes, and I walk over to Darith and wake him up. The night was long, and my dress is a bit damp from sitting on the ground.
"Good morning, Sunshine. The day wears on, and we need to be off. Let's go bag us a bird."

"That's the plan." I get up, and sling my cumbersome bookbag over my shoulder. We go door to door inquiring about the bird Alkonost. The elderly peasants seem familiar with the bird. The spend the afternoon interviewing these older peasants, who claim that the bird recently left its nest, deep in the forest. They saw the orange plumed bird pass overhead as it left. This news in not encouraging since the bird could be anywhere."Kaieka, this looks like it will be more difficult than I imagined. The bird has left its sanctuary. I am uncertain where we will find him."

"Well, you seem to know all sorts of otherwise useless information, can't we just put out some bird seed or use a bird call or something? What does this bird eat? Ooh, or you could dress up like a female big orange bird, maybe it would make him come... Sheesh, this is going to take forever. What now? On to the next town?"

Chas is gone, and I am alone.
-Wonderful, I can now do as I please.
-I close the kitchen early and assume my dragon form.
-'Today, I am going to go angel hunting.....
-I fly for hours hunting for an angel...
-Finally when I see one when I am flying over Finland. She has lovely blue hair.... I recognise her.
-Saint Celeste....
-I land next to her, and remain in my dragon form.
-"Good day to you, angel saint..."
-I smirk. Finally, I get to eat an angel. The sweetest meat of all.

"Welcome to Preturnatural Studies 100. As you all have probably noticed their is not a book for this class. The reason for this is simple: what I'm teaching is not entirely legal in the eyes of the government.
None the less I teach it. Reading assingments will be handled on a hand out base. If I don't hand it to you myself then it's not required reading, that simple. However, I wish to encourge you all to read anything you can find on our subject of study. I will award extra credit to people who can present a quality example that I fail to show you. Now, to begin."
Peter takes a piece of chalk from the container and writes on the board: "Vampire."
"This," he says, turning back to the class, "Will be our first course of study. I'm sure all of you know what they are, have heard legends. We will be learning all about them. There are several types of Vampires and all of them are only lightly similar, dispite their common name.
Now let's start with what you know. Anyone who knows something shout out. We're going to pick your brains dry."

"You have a marvelous sense of humor...let me think what the next course of action would be. I wonder where I would go if I was a bird. Why would I leave the forest? To find food..a mate...because there is danger? Ah, danger. He may have left the forest as the result of Louhi's return. His departure seems to coincide with her revival. Perhaps he has gone to find help or meet with others of his kind." I ponder it for a while. I open up Bert's Guide to Immortal Birds. Bert was a wonderfully smart man, who dedicated years of his life to watching and recording immortal birds. We was an Mythical Ornithologist. He traveled the world with his friend Ernie, but that is another story. "According to Bert's Guide, Alkonost does not like seed, he likes fresh meat, when he does eat. He is not migratory, and is friends with the Swan of Tounela, a mythical bird of Finland. Maybe he went to see her."

Peter has already started his class. I watch through the small window as he writes "Vampire" on the board. I think about the vampire that came by the kitchen.
I do not want to interrupt him.
I sit down on a wooden bench not far from his classroom door and wait for his class to let out. I know that it may take awhile, but I am content to wait.
I take out my rosary and pray while I sit. It is a good opportunity to raise prayers to Maria and the Father.

"Okay, so do we know where the Swan of Tounella is, by any chance?"
I am getting a little frustrated. How is one supposed to find a lone bird in the middle of Russia? It is a big place.

Keitoleinen returns to his office and does some paper work. He notes that Aristrachus is out hunting angels. This does not bother him, since he has little concern or sympathy for angels. He is however, startled that the angel he has gone after is Saint Celeste.
For some reason or another he is not too keen on the idea of seeing her crushed and eaten by the dragon.
"This should be interesting. I wonder how she will do against the Dragon. I don't suppose I can let him eat her, but we'll see what happens."
He turns his mind to the confrontation about to take place.

I wake up and roll over to see Kakashi lying in the bed next to me. I smile and kiss him on the forhead before climbing out of bed and into the shower. I wash off and get dressed for work.
I stop in Illiden's room and pick him up. I carry him to the living room and nurse him there. I finish feeding him and change him, and put him back in his crib. Who knew I could be so domestic?
I write a little note for Kakashi, telling him that I have gone to work, and that I hope to see him when I return.
Then, I head off to work. I climb up the stairs to Kith's office in a very good mood. I still am plagued by thoughts and wonderings, but a good night of love making tends to bring my mood up and fill me with happiness.

"She would be in the afterlife, on the river Tounela. Thus it is utterly and completely impossible to go see her. But lets assume that she too has left her home....in that case, she would likely go to Finland, a land that is sacred to her. I suppose we could go there. This sort of research does seem to require a great deal of travel. But I am used to it. Shall we head to Finland then? If nothing else, it is a land of many supernatural things. We could find another being to erase your memories with any luck." The search is always slow work, and many times, like today, you meet with dead ends. But I love researching things. It gives me a purpose in the world, this need for knowledge of mine. I can not imagine anything that would make me happier.

The class is promising. All of them, except for a few, know that Vampires are renowned for their drinking of blood. Several agruments break out among students over different things.
If their alive or dead; if they eat food as well as blood; if they have to avoid sunlight.
Peter smiles and directs the discussion but largely is silent in the whole of the debate. After two hours he calls for attention.
"Wonderful. I can tell your going to live this class. No homework for tonight, we meet again on Wednesday for our three hour class. In the meantime try and learn whatever you can. I encourage you to to partner up and teach one another. Class dismissed."
The students begins to file out, most of them gathering into groups and talking. Peter packs up his materials, smiling happily. A few students remain at their sits, standing with their equipment. Perhaps they have don't have a class after this one or perhaps they just feel like talking. Either way, Peter is happy they enjoyed the leason.

I sigh, this chase could lead us all the way around the world before we find anything.
"Finland it is! Are we taking the train? Or I could fly us a ways, It is a cool little trick I picked up. I sure hope we find this bird."

Fascia enters my office, perkier than ever. Wonderful, she must have slept with my father. Well, I am certianly glad I introduced them. My mood sours immediatly.
"There is a lot of paper work for you to do today."
I throw a stack of files at her.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
"These are all files on people that we killed this week. I want you to enter them into the computer data base. You have until the end of the day to complete this task. The Intl HQ will send someone later this week to make certain our files are up to date. If they are not, it falls on you."
I look out the window irate about my father.
