I look up after a little while and the door to the classroom opens. Students start pouring out. I look at the clock on the wall. It has been two hours. It didn't seem like that long.

I stand up and straighten my skirt, waiting for the students to clear out before going in the room to see Peter.

Finally, once the people have headed down the hallway, I go through the door with the little window. Peter is standing there, sorting his papers.

"Hello Peter. I thought I would come by and see how you are doing. Did you have a good class?"

"Flying is horrible on my nerves. I am afraid of heights. The train it will have to be...or I'll be puking from here to Helsinki." We wander back to the train platform and wait for the train together. So far, the search has yielded nothing. I feel sorry for poor Kaieka. She seems so intent on losing her memories. I feel like I have failed her. "Don't worry, we will find that bird, and he'll wipe away all the pain and sorrow you carry with you!" The train arrives and we board. It will take 12 hours to reach finland.

Kith is in as pissy a mood as ever. I sit down at my desk, pulling the top file off of the large stack and opening it.

"And a good morning to you too. Did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?"

I wake up with Alkonost's arms around me. He is a good friend. I slip away from him and leave the cabin for the lake. There I take my morning swim in the ice cold water. A part of me regrets telling him so much about myself. I feel very vulnerable. I do not like to show people my weaknesses. They may think less of me then. But I have done little. And I carefully measure any affection that I show him.

[Kaieka]

We board the train headed for Helsinki. I am a little put out that it will take a whole twelve hours to get there, and a little put out because I know that is where the rebels have been. And I don't have a desire to see any of them.

We sit in our compartment, facing eachoter. Darith is reading one of his many books. His pack must be very heavy to carry. The little nerdy elf must have some muscles under there afterall, to be able to carry it around everywhere.

I sit and look out the window, and fiddle with the arm rest and pick at my fingernails... this will be a long ride.

I hear some one in a lake nearby.I walk around the trees and bushs untill I finally reach the lake...

"I am fine. Just do your work as you are told. My life is not so greatly important that it needs to concern you. I am glad that you enjoyed your visit with my father."

I sit at my own desk and do some work, trying to ignore her.


I am in a bad mood.

I am almost as bad as a woman when it comes to bad moods.

I work through a couple of files, entering the information in the database.

"Yes, I did enjoy meeting him. It is a thrill to be able to meet the god that you serve. He even came to the apartment and blessed my son... although that didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped it would."

The train rolls along and I get lost in a book. The train is stuffy and crowded. Kaieka looks miserable and bored as she picks her nails. I stuff my book back into the bag and try to strike up a conversation. "On the topic of birds, did you know that Loons mate for life?Okay, so I am not a great conversationalist.

I sense that someone is near the water, so I quickly slip my white feather dress back on. "Who goes there?Show yourself!"

[Kaieka]

This is going to be a loooong ride...

"No, I suppose I don't know much about waterfowl. That is nice though, not many things seem to mate for life anymore."

Not stinking humans, anyway...

I have been working so hard that I have hardly spent any time with Lin-Sat. I look at my stack of papers, and know that it will be a long time before we have any times together. I sigh and get to work.

"I am sorry to hear that things did not go as you would have liked. But I am glad that you are happy with meeting him. So, Are you still interested in those Salsa lessons? I looked up a few numbers for us."
