When Day Turns Black

[Fei Fong Wong]

I nod solemnly, and wave goodbye to he who befriended me despite my other half.

[Lady Violet]

We walk down the street and I take a seat on a bench.
"Now then, I realize that Fei is a threat to world security, but you can remain here with Fei and work for Red Infinity so long as you watch over him, and protect humans from him. We also want detailed reports about his progress and about the gear that he uses. We are interested in obtaining such technology for ourselves. Therefore, I will not remove you from the party so long as you contain this threat and keep in contact with us."

I cross my legs and pull some hair behind my ear before continuing.

"I must say that I was worred about you failure to follow through with orders. However, we can look past that if you are willing to work with me on this issue."

[Kaschei]

"Good night, dragon."

Kaschei moves to his own bed and takes off his robes. He crawls into bed and pulls his thick black blanket over his body. He closes his eyes and falls asleep, but in his sleep he talks about curtains and curses Machiaveli.

[Simona Weil]

I wasn't paying any attention to the demon Oni, since I was more concerned with Irvine.

His blast nearly hits me, before I pray and put up my holy shield again, hopefully that is enough holy energy to block such an attack.

I then draw a line in blood over myself. It is the blood of the lamb, which gives me a higher defense against demons. In fact, most should be repelled by me now.

"I do not wish to fight anyone. I only wish to understand and to help a friend."

[Usha]

"That was fun Brady, good night!"

I give him a hug then go to my room to go to sleep.

[Brady]

Goodnight.

I give her a peck on the cheek then I cross the street to a cafe. I order some pineapple pizza and a rootbeer.

Please... just... kill me. I do not want to hurt anybody! Take a knife to my throat, shoot me. Just kill me!

I put my gun to my head.

Kill me or else I will!

[Kaitalish]

I note the blood.

"A sacrifice? You say my power is so wrong, yet you use such a thing yourself? Perhaps you, too, belong with us."

I pull large quantities of blood from both myself and my No-Dachi and use it to augment the Cloud of Taint, making it incredibly powerful but leaving me somewhat weak.

"Your pathetic shield will not hold against this!" I roar as I attack the shield with the Cloud, prodding at it in order to open a weak point so that it may seep in.

[Irvine Kinneas]

No!

I drop my gun and my Cat S.S. I step in front of the Cloud of Taint. The cloud immobilizes my Taint Suppersion, leaving me looking like a monster. My skin is papery, one eye is hanging by a strand. I breathe heavly.

[Simona Weil]

I struggle to keep my holy protections strong, but they are about to by breached.

"Listen, your own follower is going to kill himself! Is that not more important!!"

I hold my arms up, putting everything I have in keeping up the shield. I do not know what this taint does, nor do I want to find out.

But before it nearly gives...Irvine steps in...however...its effects on him are disasterous.

[Kaitalish]

"I have no followers. I have only slaves." I say with a smile.

The Cloud is still hammering at the shield, but I make no move to strengthen it, for I need to restore my blood. I watch Irvine, who is also in the cloud, allowing his taint to increase, as well as his insanity.

[Irvine Kinneas]

I have become a horrible monster. The skin and flesh on my nose falls off, my arm bulges with a bump. I feel my toes come together, into a flat fin like foot. An ear grows from the roof of my mouth, and a tongue from my palm. My spine cracks, and I hunch over, into a hunchback.

Long... live... anarchism.

I gasp, as I fall over onto my stomach.

[Simona Weil]

"Divine Intervention!!"
As I call it out, the room is filled with divine light and the presense of god.
I use that moment to pull Irvine behind my shield.
I cover him with the blood of the lamb hoping that perhaps that will help him. He is so deformed. I start to cry.

I purify my hands and his body with my purification.

"Irvine...Irvine...you have to come back to us..."

[Ashen]

Ashen looked at the ground, and tried to mask his rage. He clenched his fists into balls and then spoke quitely.
"So, the deal is that I betray my friend and keep him away from people, for what? My return to the library? You want me to find out more about something you would use to kill people? All evidence I've found during my entire lifespan, all of it, points to the destruction of cities and even a whole people. Knowledge is lost through conflict. I will not condone this to happen. The world cannot be exposed to more of these mechanical nightmares. Do what you will, I will not betray Fei or his Gear to you. Ask him about it if it's so d'amn important!"
He brought his head up and looked at her, lightning in his eyes. He spat at the ground near her.
" But, should I actually decide to bretray him, and I doubt highly that I will, you'll forgive me and overlook my insuboardination? Sorry, but I don't think you'll have to find another lacky."
He turned from her and began to walk away. Then he stopped and looked over his shoulder.
"I don't think I could be very loyal to someone that wanted so much of me."
He began to walk again.

[Lady Violet]

"I was kind to you, and offered an alternative to death. I simply want that information so Red Infinity can better fight those who stand to oppose us. Also, Fei damaged parts of this city. I therefore wish to protect innocent people from a power which can not be controlled. I have tried to be fair and reasonable. But, Red Infinity will not allow you to simply turn away. You are a dragon...are you not?"

((dragons must as a rule be allied with red infinity for game purposes so if you leave them you will have to change your race))

I laugh at Simona's efforts. Though I haven't fully recovered, I put yet more blood into the Cloud and continue to press at her shield. As she is using her powers for other things, her barrier should fall easily.
