I continue to batter the shield with the Cloud of Taint.
((Guess I have to wait for Rodthingy too then. Oh yes, just f.y.i. you can only be tainted if you choose to accept the power. You'll just be in a whole lot of pain for quite awhile as dark magic tries to get you to convert.))

After Violet goes, I relax a little more and move out to the living room where the other rebels are. I look at Fei, who seems to be keeping a lot of secrets. "Why does Red Infinity want you so badly? You look like a wimp to me." I lay back on the couch and eat some green grapes, looking at him lazily.

I sit back up and flip through some magazine that Bassarov has on his coffee table. "Oh, so you are the one that is behind that newspaper artical. The one with the machine and the destruction." I assume, as I smell a perfume ad in the zine.

"What did he do?" I look at the artical and proceed to read it to him.
"At 3am Monday morning a strange machine tore through the streets of Helsinki leveling two apartment buildings and damaging an elementary school. This after days of dragon assualts only adds to the wide spread destruction that has been wrought in our great city, by forces unknown..."
"Ummm...so it was you? Yikes! Or wait, you said "he" that means it was someone else..."

I step back and turn away.

I sigh and lean back wearily.

"That's horrible Fei!! Well Geez is there anything I can do to help you?!" I sit at the edge of my seat. I wonder if I should say anything about that machine that the Green Party found in North Dakota. "Um..Fei...tell me about that machine. Where did it come from? I know, maybe the machine is making you evil! I only trust technology so far!!" I suggest naively.

"I'm not sure who made it, but that machine seems to follow me like a curse. It appeared in my village awhile back. It was empty. Other machines were attacking. I jumped in it to save my friends. The other ones, the other gears, they were shooting, it was horrible... I saw one of my friends shot several times in the back... the bullet was almost as big as he was... something... no, HE happened... he came out... he killed more people... more of my friends..." I trail off, my eyes watering.

I put my arms around Fei and hug him tighter than most people could withstand. "Oh don't cry Fei! You have people who will help you now and everything will be okay!! So be happy! Think happy thoughts!! Things are getting better!!" I try to reassure him, but man, he is like the most depressed guy I have ever met. The Ministry of Pschology would have a field day with him...if they ever caught him.
