I think getting John to be civil is like trying to negotiate with a rabid mongoose.
P.S. I <3 Star Trek.

I know and I am sorry if my actions have caused you stress. I did not mean to do it intentionally, but it was inevitable in this situation. I am not sure if your statement of 'Ha, organized revolt...I guess I may have invented that in my own mind' was a sarcastic one or not, but i hope it wasnt, because it really isnt one as much as it may seem.

No that was me trying to make light of the situation....
And if anyone can change John I can, since well, I am an exceptional sort of guy.
Okay tooting my own horn
But I am trying. Trust me, this is very unpleasant for me.
I enjoying having all of you on the rpg

If you get him to respect his characters, the characters of others, and the players who play them, that will be enough for me. I value characters greatly, including other people's.
And we agreed to do this three days ago. I ment to say something about is sooner but I forgot.

Well then, in the words of Captain Kirk, "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Now then, it appears this argument has returned to a calm level of civilization once again.

Well I could make Mischa a special John Moderator to make sure he follows through on the above requests
It could be a probationary period where we see if John can adhere to our expecations of civility, if he fails to, then he is banned
Does that sound reasonable?

Truly you have the Heart of the Paddle.
I find the terms to be agreeable.

Considering this is close to what I suggested, I agree.
I have tried to stay out of this issue, just advising Bassarov and others on the issue. John may be an uncooperative not a very nice person, but he is a good, effective player and we can't afford to simply throw him out of the game. On the other hand, a lot of us seem to be taking this far more seriously than we should be. IT'S A f**kING GAME.
There, that's my two cents.

Ahh well, I'm up for the task, and I agree with Zero. It's game, please be mellow...
I don't want to see this turn into a game of whack a mole by trying to appease everybody. Everything will work out, and yes, Star Trek rocks.
