hmm... making a new site would be better...., i'd hate for all of those posts to be deleted, because then those people who posted there, their post count would decrease alot....
and i have a complaint. nullification powers that say they effect anything and everything, you should work up tp that.... say first by having on that blocks energy blasts, then one that effects healing.... etc.
most of the people with nullification powers say they are against people powerplaying with their techniques, but yet, the people are also powerplaying more since all of us work hard and post to gain our techniques, and it it cheap to have them disabled by new characters when techniqually, they would be killed in a batter....,

The nullification powers do not seem to be out of hand, and if fights are modded they won't be allowed to do so. I understand the desire to keep one's character powerful, but I also believe that such a system is flawed in that those who do not have the time to post as much will never become powerful, whereas those who do have time to post gain powers at such an exponential rate that it is all but impossible for the players who do not have the time to win in any fights. If it is a fight between two people who have no powers, it comes down to a match of pure skill of roleplaying, which I tend to favor over power matches. No character is supposed to always win save Lin-Sat, after all. I think if players with more posts were willing to take the fall sometimes, then there would be no need for nullification powers to even the score.

modded?... how can it be modded when most of the characters with power nullifications are moderators themselves who complain about powerplaying. but they inturn powerplay.
it doesnt matter about how much time you get to post, i dont get alot now that school started. and the power nullification goes for people who have been here since the begginning, who deserve too have alot of powers since they have worked so hard to get them.
most of which were rebels. so that is powerplaying, and shouldnt be allowed, atleast to the extent that one technique blocks all others.
also, most people with power nullification powers say they also block power nullification blockers, when that doesnt make sense, nor is it fair, you should have to make another technique that blocks it, and if the person continuals to want the power to block nullification, they would have to make one, and then start a chain. some people say that is a waste of powers and time, but its the only real fair way to do it.... well actually it still isnt fair since the people with the power nullification techniques should make more powers, each that blocks a different type of power.

I would have a hard time deleting the old threads since those posts maybe useful if I wanted to read them again
I suppose I can start deleting some posts in the joining area
You can all help with that, deleting all old conversations on the join forms
It says unlimited posts as an ad for proboards, so, that is not true?

I started deleting posts this morning but it was a pain.
Please people, delete the unimportant posts in your joining threads
Thanks
And moderators, lets make sure people no longer post there.
They can keep conversation in the general area, in a single thread, so it is easier to delete

hmm, no, the board does have unlimited posts..., its just that with all of the members, and posts, it'll make it go slower....
making a new site would be easier, and better since you could still refer to this board....... and only mods and admins can delete all members posts.....
deleting the joining threads wouldnt be good..... since people that leave during the school yaer, might come back eventually....
perhaps the general board would be better...

Whatever you all decide to do is fine by me. Just as long as you have a way to keep our powers, post numbers, and character profiles intact. I'm personally going to keep track of my post number, cuz I know that post number can easily be changed.

*Yes d'amnit Leander. Mommie is a high school student. -_-*
I'd like the idea of makin a new site even more. Id even help. That way, all everyone would have to do is transfew there powers and joining post and continue on.
Its a flawed plan, yes, but it can be fixed.

I don't know about other players but I know for my characters who have nulls that override protections, I've spent two powers doing so. Of course the entire combat premise of that character is based off a no-power fight. If I see other characters that override null protections without having two powers spent on it, I will most certainly mod them.
I've been watching fights closely, and I'll mod anyone who deserves it. And don't bother accusing me of powergaming, if you want to do that, instant message me, because I don't and I have several other mods who will back me on that.
In any event, powerless fights are easy to mod, I do it all the time on the other RPs I DM.
Also, as most of the ones who use nulls are mods, I don't see the problem. Most newbies wouldn't even know about a power nullification technique because they are newbies. None of you had even thought of power nullification until I came along and used it, after all.
If you are that attached to your powers then spend the next five or so powers protecting yourself from nullifications, or just learn how to fight without them, like they do on most RPs.

If the board was advertised as having unlimited posts then it had d**n well better have unlimited posts... Anyways the problem is simply with the sheer bulk of posts/members the site will take significant time to load. That and there are other reasons for trimming the unnessasary posts in the joining threads... COnversations belong in either the game itself or in the general board.

Well once this rpg is full of posts, I do not intend to make another
This is it.
It dies when the rpg dies or the board can't take it any more

Perhaps you should make a sister site for Red Infinity on somthing like Invision Powerboards. The IVS boards are much more efficent.
The Sister site would be for experiment purposes, then if you like it, you should make the actual new RI.
I dunno, maybe I am just speaaking nonesense.

No, I like Patrick's idea. Bassarov if you let this site die, that just gives way for someone to make another like so. Please, consider some other options. Many people like this site too much for you to let it die off.
And despite what everyone is saying, the joining threads arent the ONLY problem. Honestly, there are so many places people REALLY dont look in that are useless.

If Bassarov wishes to retire with this board, that is his choice.
However, I believe that when he does, there will still be a great number of people who wish to continue.
A sitiuation should be set up to handle this.
What I'm saying is, when Bassarov "dies" with the board, a successor should be named. Someone to create the next site and continue this game.
At that time it will no long be Red Infinity as we know it. It will be Red Infinity II or some such thing.
