I agree, and wow. I have never seen an RPer, or a person for that matter, that is as callious and uncaring as the person who plays John.
"there is always a choice...., and as i said, i will take it and refuse to change it...., if you change the technique, i will simply change it back...., i do not care what you, or anyone else says... nor do i care if you 'order' me to... cause frankly... that will just make me even less cooperative then i already am...))
((but out of this...., alot of people has called me 'bad' names, but i dont care what anyone thinks of me, so who cares...., nor do i care what anyone else has to say about me calling other people names. immuture?..., i dont care...., i never thought of myself as 'mature'...."
I think this sums it up. On my sites, it would have been a ban. I dont know much about this person. I just thought he had sex on the RPG a bit too much, but wow. It may seem extreme of me, but by the standards I have seen on just about every RPG I have been on, this person should not be RPing. My suggestion: Ban.

I don't ban people from the site.
I would like to run things with a greater sense of democratic centralism, and the moderation method is very flawed
Usually if someone power games or has too much sex I just ignore them or dont post with them. I figure that a person will isolate themself or become unpopular as the result of actions which are self interested
I would like to run things in a more revolutionary manner
If anyone has any ideas of a more fair means of moderation please post here
Since even the selection method of moderators is biased.
Moderators and RPG policies should be decided by the rpg members themselves, rather than decided by the admin

I wish to go on record as being with Separ on this one. I know how you feel about banning Bass... but I personally feel this is the exception to the rule.
Perhaps we should have a Mod election? Start a few poll topics with all the people who wish to "run" for a position as Poll Options. It would be a fair campain.

I think that would be a great idea
I think some people should be givens as far as mods go, such as myself as admin , lady violet, Mischa, and anyone else from RL who I can talk to about policies and ideas
But otherwise, we could have a campaign for mods and have mods for other things as well
my recomendations are
Zinn as political mod
Void as fight mod
Kolov as a fight mod
Satsujin as fight mod
Peter
Jareth
etc....
((these were just a few examples, so if you are not on this short list it doesnt mean I dislike you))
A mod should ideally work well with me, be mature, and also be diplomatic
other than that, experience is not that important since ideally i would like this rpg to be unlike other rpgs in that it is more intimate and mass based rather than mod based
Players can also decide rules
Just as we did for the sex mod thing

What if someone was to disobey those rules set up by the people time and time again? What would the coarse of action be then? Would it be up to the members as a whole to decide what would happen to that character?

of course i wish to 'run' since i try to talk with the new players and i offer my services to them on how to enter the game and just if they have basic questions...as you have seen i try to be fair and i try not to rile people up...
Separ gives a good question Bassarov...There should be ramifications if the rules are broken by even a mod. We should not be exempt from punishment. We can not have people getting out of hand just because they don't get their way.
And i too voted BAN...I am friends with him...but enough is enough...everytime a mod tries to help it turns into an OOC war...its sensless Bassarov

I think I would open it up to debate, then take a vote.
If over 2/3s of those debating (since it would be hard to determine 2/3 of the actual rpg membership due to multi characters and dead accounts) vote to ban the member than we would instate a temporary ban or other measures
I think ban is very drastic and a worst case scenerio

Bassarov its time to take a little action. He cant keep disrespecting mods like that... and I anit even a mod myself. If someone tells him a power is illegal he should listen and just change it. Pretty much 3 pages of the thread is a d**n OOC war. Its no good to let him think its okay, ya know?

Hey hey hey, now wait. John might have gone on a OOC war, but still. He had good reason. He has had that power for a long time, and has used it many times. My question is why notice it just now.
If your going to be a mod, tell people about the rule they are violating with a PM, explaining why the power or move is a illegal thing.
Main thing here other than expressing my opinion, don't start a OOC war, just use Pm's instead.

My responce to this is as follows:
Mods cannot and will not take the time to go through every person's join thread one by one to pick out powers that need changing. Void, the power mod, arrived here far after when John created that character. John said 'Why tell me about it now when i have had it so long?' and the simple answer is that he had not had the chance to see it until then. I have talked to Void before, and he had said that he usually checks profiles for unfair powers when they reach the top of the joining section, they use it in battle and he sees it, or he is sent a notice about an unfair power. This was just a case of when he used it and Void recognized it as unfair, hence asking him to change it per the rules established for powers by the admin, mods, and members.

Ill admit, Void was slightly wrong for posting that in main. Its embarassing, sweety. But at the same time, John shouldnt have personally attacked him. I think things need to be finer lined around here. Too much fuzz.

Well doing that is rather hard when Bassarov does not like to impose rules on people so much that they are limited. Maybe it was not quite appropriate for Void to post the change request in the main thread, but it could have remained just that if John had continued the discussion through PM or chat. It was John in my opinion who embarrased himself by openly insulting Void in the main thread.

Power Modding has typically been posted in game, I became a mod not too long ago and I merely follow the precedent that Kolov had already set.
