"It doesn't bother me." I lie. In fact it makes me crave smoke too, but I shove that aside, right now I need to get this man's contract. "Yes you are free to take other assignments, though you must bear in mind that you will be required to inform us of who hired you and for what, though you won't be required to tell us any confidential information. That'd just be rude." I take the briefcase and set it on the table. I open the lid and reveal a tray of gold doubloons, valued at $1,000,000. However there is a hidden compartment underneath containing a like amount of cash should this not be enough... "Would this be sufficient?"

"Best of luck." Stalin said, standing up. "You will forgive me for not staying, but I have other things to attend to. It was good meeting you, Bassarov. Nadeyus' vskore vstretit'sya s toboy."

"Oh. What project?" Lena asks, crossing her arms on the table and resting her head on them, but so that she could still see Peter.

"Oh, that all depends on how much money is in the hidden compartment." Holmes said with a cheeky smile as he lit his pipe.

Huey waved Stalin goodbye. "He may have other things to do, but my schedule is clear for some time. Unless you're busy, I can stay for a while." Huey said, basically asking Bassarov if his company was welcome.

"Nadyezhda shasta s mne." Bassarov says in reference both to Mischa and the fact that Mischa's last name is a variant of the Russian word for hope. "Da Svidanya..." Bassarov says to Stalin and Huey as they leave. Once they are gone, he starts planning how he might go about abducting Iris. Then he realizes that Huey isn't leaving yet. "You can stay a while. I don't mind."

I scoff, making a mental note to pregnant dog out the equipment department when I get back. "Fine then. Two million in gold doubloons. Plus mission fees. Agreed?" I know this will seriously strain our financial resources, but if we can recover some tidbit of blackmail material against Red Infinity we may be able to force them into renegotiating our coal prices, as well as grain, our other export...

Peter licks his lips. This was going to be a little aquward. "Lena, I haven't been totally honest with you so far. I haven't lied, not really, but there's a few things I haven't told you."
He takes a deep breath. "You might find this hard to believe but... my line of work for the last seven years has been eliminating things. I... I'm a killer. Vampires, werewolves, demons, devils, angels, everything that might hurt people." Peter closes his eyes and takes another deep breath.
"I recently left that job... but it's still what I do. Hope and I are training to become more powerful so that... so we can kill the top officals in the current government, forcing the system to reform itself." Peter opens his eyes, looking into Lena's eyes, expecting to see horror and anger. "I'm not sure it's the right thing to do... in fact, I'm sure it's not... but we have to do something."

"Anyone can do it." he said to Anima. "It is simply that the brief case itself is larger than the space inside of it. While it could be for bullet proof reasons, I assumed it was not, sinc the sides were normal width. It is not hard."
Holmes turned his attention back to Lady Blue. "That will be fine. I apologize for doing this, but as an independant contracter, you must understand that I'm out to make as much as I can... you can't really blame me, can you?"

Elbereth kicks the outcold ticket collecter to the side. It had took her quite a while to get onto this train, but she was here now. And she could sense Lena was too.
She could feel her on this train. Elbereth walks toward the hallways were the compartments were. As she walks down the halls, she pulls open compartments. Not caring who was in them, as long as it wasn't Lena.
Elbereth hadn't decided if she was going to bring Lena to the League of the Godless yet. She didn't want to, but it would be a good life lesson. She'd make sure Lena wasn't killed, of course..
The next compartment Elbereth pull sopen, she sees Lena's necklace on the table. She was in the next compartment, Elbereth knew it. She smirks.

"No, I can't. It's just a matter of the fact that the gold in that briefcase represents a considerable amount of capital, and the fact that someone of your intelligence could no doubt resell it to someone for nearly double what we bought it for... Oh well, c'est la vie..."

Huey adjusted his position to get more comfortable. "Thank you." he said.
"Scary stuff huh? Red Infinity seems to be getting more and more determined to wipe out all opposition..."

"Yes, well they would not have to resort to such extremes if they were confident in their power. It appears that they are not. They are afraid of the rebels. It is bad that Red Infinity is going as far as they are to limit our freedom, but it is good in that it indicates that they are weak and therefore fearful."

"Quite. As the expression goes, 'No use crying over spilt milk'. Like I said, I am out to make as much as I can." Holmes said, taking another puff of his pipe.
