no you didn't offend me but i would really like to see these types of topics stopped. i value my religion and i hate to see others degrade it as they do. if you have a view point just keep it to yourself i would apperciate it. but if you seriously want a conversation about religion then pm whoever i'll take pms but don't make a topic it always turns like this and it makes me sick

I didn't start the topic. I don't see why I got quoted either. I didn't diss Jehovah's Witnesses, or claim my religion is the only correct religion, or that any of my heroes have undeniable divinity.

I think sharing ideas about religion and god is healthy.
I don't think anyone so far has been disrespectful, and if someone disagrees with a religion or religious ideal, I think it has been with some sort of reasoning behind it.

Sorry Andrew, but this is a board where we are allowed to state our own views on religion. If you find my opinions "offensive" then that's your problem, not mine. I am simply stating my opinion. I am not attacking yours and I am not saying that one view is right and one view is wrong.
As for Christ, you can say a lot of things about him. You can say he wasn't God's son. You can say he wasn't our savior. But through the example that was his life, I personally find it hard to deny him of his divinity (which simply means spirituality, btw) even if you do not believe his views are best.

you guys don't understand, im sorry Raz i guess I didn't understand what you were saying and got upset. but some people get in here and start going off like it's thier moment to preach and they say stuff that isn't true, don't ask me cause i don't know. i understand there are different religions and some of them take a bit from here or there to make their own but still to me it is wrong and as for discussing religion it has come to a point in the advancement and just being in modern times where you don't talk about it, because people get upset. people who do not know what they are talking about start spewing stuff and it offends others. i'm sorry if this starts to not make sense its late i have classes tomorrow morning i'm tired and now i'm upset by seeing this

I don't think Jesus was divine, but think he had good ideas
If more christians followed his example, we would have a lot more pacifists, communists, and anarchists in the world.

Precisely. Anyway, Jesus' divinity is subject to personal opinions on spirituality. I think he was a very spiritual man, and I do not see how he can be denied of that. However, I am only myself and I do not represent the entire population as a whole.
Well, here's a question that I'm wondering. I do not mean to offend anyone, and if answering this will offend you, then by all means don't answer.
Who thinks Moses parted the river?

Moses didn't do anything. It was the hands of God that held the waters back for the hebrews to cross the sea with. Moses was a tool because the people wouldn't understand other wise, they were ensalved by the eygptions so they were more accustomed to the eyption ways. (i'm sorry if it sounded like i snapped. please accept my apology)

Supremely good or beautiful; magnificent: a divine performance of the concerto. Extremely pleasant; delightful: had a divine time at the ball. Heavenly; perfect. n. A cleric. A theologian. source- www.dictionary.comNot according to the dictionary. "Undeniable" sure sounds like a single, only one sort of view to me. The divinity of Jesus is deniable for a number of reasons, which I won't go into, because I don't want to offend anyone. If it was undeniable, everyone would be a Christian already. Also, it was the Red Sea, not a river, and Moses didn't do jack. It was the power of God, channeled through Moses. Or at least so the story goes, if you take it literally, or believe in it at all. Who said anything about a debate?

Who said anything about a debate? What in hell is wrong with you? Why can't you have an opionated conversation without turning it into an argument?
Type divinity into Microsoft Word. right click and check synonyms. Do you see Spirituality? I sure as hell do. That's it though. This is the last straw. If I am going to be attacked everytime my opinion is expressed then I might as well not be here. I have much better things to do with my time.

Ok, that's it Zinn. You posted before that if I wanted to have a debate with you, we would do it through PM's. You can't just modify your d**n posts to make you look like a better person. YOU DID!! YOU LITERALLY SPELLED IT OUT.
This is bullnuts. If you're going to act like a three year old and modify things, then claim you never typed them, then go ahead. I don't care anymore. This sucks ass. I am very pissed off at your audacity.

I added a link to my source, and edited the second paragraph. I often edit grammatical errors after posting something.
Frankly Matsumura, I really don't care if you are pissed off. Go relax or something.

I am pissed because you edited out the part where YOU said that you wanted me to debate with you through pm's and instead you edited in "Who said anything about a debate?" YOU said something about a debate. Don't bullnuts me.
As for this opinionated conversation gone horribly wrong. I did not attack your opinion, nor did I say it was wrong at any point. You take everything so personally and it really ticks me off. And when other people point out when you overreact, you act all sincere and apologize and what not. But with me, you feel that you can say whatever you wish, and that is not the case. Do NOT attack my opinions anymore and do NOT start arguments where they shouldn't be. Please respect my wishes.

*SIGHS* Okay people, please calm down. For one: I started this thread. For two: I CLEARLY asked for it not to become a debate thread.
Here. I'll ask it more simply:
What is your religion, and what does it involve?
I asked nothing of opinions. Or Disscusion. I asked one question about religion, and people assume the worst. Please don't. I'm asking out of my own curiosity. CURIOSITY. That's all it is. I was curious about other religions. That's all it was.
Please don't argue...
