Currently my favorite songs are in a language probably none of you would appreciate (otherwise known as Hindi)... ;D
But in terms of English songs, KISS hits my favorite list.

So Emo it hurts..... Honestly, Emo makes me want to take a big sthingy and scrape out my eye, so I can take a chopstick and start poking out the part of my brain that receives messages of sound frequency.

What Emo bands have you been listening to!?!
Oh yeah, also, your auditory nerves are on the sides of your head, near your ears. By pulling your eye out and damaging the prefrontal lobes of your brain, you'd be lobotomizing yourself.
And it's still likely you'd be able to hear.

I'm well aware that a lobotimy occrus from damage to the frontal lobes. I'm just curious how far in I'd have to stick the chopsticks before the pain of Emo would go away. EMO SUCKS!

Have you even listened to any Emo? Before you answer, Dashboard Confessional is not Emo.

Yes, I know what I hate....
Emo makes happy children grow up into suicidal adults
Ok, that's a stretch, but my point is that always being so whiney/emotional/suicidally depressed is not healthy and is far from enjoyable to listen to. Why should I want to listen to some douche-bag complaining about problems just becuz it's music? I prefer real rock, the kind of rock that empowers you, rather than makes you want to eat bullets. I like Metallica, AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, KISS, Iron Maiden, Audioslave, and many, many more bands becuz the music makes me feel good.

Emo makes me happy. It's a cathartic sort of experience. You still haven't answered my question though...
There are a lot of non-emo bands that complain about their problems and about being depressed, but in a less creative way.
Linkin Park, Seether, Audioslave, etc.
Rage Against the Machine complains about problems in the world.
Music is supposed to express emotion. Also, most emo is not whiney at all. That's why I want to know what you've been listening to.

When Rage complains, it sounds good. Emo is painful to listen to.
